Which of those universities do you think would be the easiest to adapt to for international students?

All about the same but I'd look up which has the highest % of international students.

I am currently a sophomore and really want to go to UCSB, does anyone have any advice specifically on how I can create an especially good application for this school to get in?

Dr. Q coming out of this year w a 4.2 gpa, and i do a sport every season and i do a lot of clubs with leadership positions in 2 of them. and i work + volenteer. what is your opinion on my chances?

Elena P, try to get a good SAT (1450+) score and you will have a great chance of getting into UCSB 👍

@@heartcomedy5 Yes, I would agree that Elena P needs at least an SAT score of 1400-1450 (or higher) or an ACT score of 30-31 to have a good shot of getting into UCSB especially if she plans to apply into STEM or Economics and Accounting. Heck, she may even have a chance at UCLA or UC Berkeley (it is possible but difficult). If she has an SAT score of about 1300 or an ACT score of 27 or slightly higher, it is possible to get into UCSB, but it is going to be arduous even with a strong college application essay and other factors (e.g. low income, first generation to attend college, low rated high school, GPA, etc). As for UCLA and UC Berkeley, do not even dream of attending any of these schools with these numbers. I know one person (my younger cousin) who applied to UCSB for fall of 2017 with a 4.2 high school GPA and a SAT score of 1270 and a not much better ACT score of 27 and he was waitlisted and later rejected by UCSB and rejected by UCLA and UC Berkeley as well. He did get into UC Davis (via waiting list), UC Santa Cruz and UC Riverside though and currently attends UC Santa Cruz for computer science. If Elena P has an SAT score of about 1200 or lower or an ACT score of 25 or lower, she should not even bother applying for UCSB. Why? 1. Because admissions counselors at UCSB are going to think she cannot handle the work at UCSB especially for STEM and Accounting. 2. UCSB admissions are highly competitive. Your stats need to be about the average UCSB student or better to have a good shot of getting into UCSB especially for STEM. 3. Even if she can graduate from UCSB, she might graduate with a lower GPA than her UCSB peers unless if she is applying into an easy college major. Bottom line, I wish Elena P good luck getting into UCSB.

Dang yall needa chill. I got into UCI, UCSB, and Berkeley with a 4.0 UC GPA and 1320 SAT. It's not all about numbers. I like to think I had pretty good essays and extracurriculars that compensated for my poor grades and test scores. I did get rejected from UCLA and UC Davis, but don't shy away from the opportunity just because you don't meet the average admitted student profile. Admissions are pretty much a crapshoot in the end :/
