As a film buff I love the upcoming Dune’s director Denis Villanueve. I think he’s going to knock it out of the park :)

What are your favourite Dune-related illustrations, Steve? I’m looking to cover up my “soon to be a major motion picture” UNREMOVABLE sticker. Grrrrrr! Is there a Paul Atreides illustration that you really like?

I of course love the cover illustration on the Folio Society edition, but it's just a bit pricey!

I read Dune when I was 14, I'm now 59, 60 in August, and I'm still coming back to it. I read the sequals, but this stands alone. I would be interested in this edition because of the Niel Gaiman introduction. Like you I enjoyed the TV series, it was really enjoyable.

Dear Steve, wonderful to hear your appreciation for the brilliant Betty Radice - whose name is pronounced Ra- Dee-Chay!

Looks like you left it in the sun - there is fading to the spine. Consider this a reading copy only.

I first (and so far only) read Dune 10 years ago when I was 16, along with the rest of the books that were written by Frank Herbert, after watching the two miniseries which were aired in some sort of special event on the Scifi Channel (back when it was Scifi instead of Syfy!) I loved Dune, and thought Dune Messiah and Children of Dune worked as a trilogy, though I thought the rest of the books were hot garbage. I'm going to reread at least Dune over this summer in anticipation of the Hollywood extravaganza, and possibly the rest of Frank Herbert's original run... And possibly his sons run too? To be clear, my interest in reading his sons run is based not at all in the expansion of the Dune franchise, but in the fact that his sons co-author lives in my town. Regardless, I always love to hear your insights on these books!

Always a treat to see someone enthuse over ‘Dune’- a classic.
