@@velvetra29 Actually no, the bug in Electro-charge are 2 things, the First one is the trigger element. If u trigger with eletro, he will deal aoe damage only, and not DOT, if u trigger with hydro, he'll deal DOT damage only, and not the AOE. The other thing is as in patch 1.0, the Eletro-charge only scales with Eletro characters, not Hydro Characters, soo if u trigger an Eletro-charge with an Hydro character, it will not be increased by EM, and Level. That's the official statment of Mihoyo, and it will be fixed in patch 1.1 as they say.

@@hangomez9015 the problem is that you're confused with the Skill damage vs Elemental Reaction. The Skill Damage scales with Atk, so if u invest ATK on FIschl, you increase her damage output with Oz and her Elemental Burst, But if u want to increase the Elemental reaction that u trigger with Fischl, Than Level and Elemental Master is your goal. The Same goes for Anemo Character such as Venti / Sucrose.

It's best to just increase the character's level first because Talents requires the same mats that you need to ascend that character. Of course, stockpiling on books is good before endgame, but it's easier to get books than mats. And since Talents depends on your character's stats, it's way better to increase their level first.

In short : Step one : Upgrade your main Team. Step 2 : Make the Artifacts " connect " with the Character. ( I have a 20% higher reload for Xianglings Ulti because her Ulti is really useful ) Step 3 : Good weapons that also " connect " with the Character AND make good damage. Step 4 : Try fighting some mobs and try different things ( weapons , artifacts ...) and look how much the damage changes. Step 5 : Level. (Bonus step) Step 6 : Money. the color of the monster name is an indicator, when your character level is more than 10 levels higher than the world monster the name of the monster appears in Green, or easy kill. i believe it will also give less Mora and exp per kill. and when the level of the momster is more than 10 levels higher than you, meaning if you enter a domain or dungeon for lvl 70 when you just ascended and is still level 60/70.. the monster name will be in RED, and you will find yourself having a hard time.. as you will crit less, and take more dmg from them.

tbh if you have a good dps with decent artefacts upgraded you'll be able to farm some 4* or 5* artefacts on elite bosses (it will take you some time to take them down). Then you will have a power spike from it (gladiator set with ATK / CRIT % / CRIT DMG is HUGE on swords characters). wish you good luck to not hit %def %hp etc !!

I would disagree on this one. Elemental reactions are what's really important, at least for my party. It's almost 80% of the damage I do. Well unless you main with someone that uses a catalyst. But my main is a physical damage dealer, and talents, atk, and crits are not enough.

Here you will see Keqing erasing all world bosses like nothing, and on 3:38, you can see a proof of my argument. Keqing with elemental mastery with 19 points, but critical rate and dmg very high, dealing 2k~5k damage on charge attacks. Before I see this video I made a similar approach with my Fischl (I dont have keqing yet), with ATK 2301, CRIT DMG 59.3% and CRIT RATE 25%. My Fischl almost delete all world bosses without any effort, dealing damage between 1k to 2.5k in each attack, and 4k in charged attacks. Because Fischl is a archer, I cant do charged attacks faster than a sword user, so I cant do what keqing do in the video (in terms of speed), but I guarantee that building around CRITICAL DMG and RATE will be, on future, best for your character.

There is a crucial mistake in what you say about elemental reactions. Vaporize and Melt are not like the rest of the reactions. They can crit, and they not only scale with level and elemental mastery, they also scale with ATK.

Additional info, if you reduce enemy physical damage reduction with superconductor, the remaining percent only decreases it by half, example if they have 20% dmg reduction we have 30% left to reduce which is cut in half and give them -15%

Some reaction type do scale with your character's damage. Melt and Vaporize specifically magnifies the one-time damage that triggers the reaction by 1.5/2.0 times (this scale can be further increased by elemental mastery)

3 star weapons aren't all worthless. Some of them like the Halberd are able to scale fairly well due to their strong effects. These weapons are few and far between, however... So yeah, 4 stars for the most part, but do consider your 3 stars. Some characters' best in slot weapon is a 3 star, like Thrilling Tales of the Dragon Slayers on Barbara due to its extremely powerful damage buff that makes burst builds super viable

It'd be great if I could actually get good fucking artifacts from domains more often. Right now my top damage dealer is just traveler because I built them from the beginning, but I'm transitioning to Klee. Traveler is level 60 and is only doing 833 ATK because I can't find any better weapons or artifacts. I'm AR32 if that means anything. Is there a benchmark for how much ATK you should be doing?

For min-max, its much better if you start going for domain at ar45(ar40 if you think you barely do enough damage outside of abyss) because of 5star droprate is better. Iirc at ar 30-39 I got 1.3k+- at my Keqing as main dps. Just remember atk is not everything. Definitely use those Element% dmg and CritRate/Dmg(1:2 is ideal) if you managed to get on suitable artifact for your character.

If you don't have the right character you need, use someone with geo. It's versitile against most enemies. I thought geo was useless until I realized how helpful the crystallize shields were.

For artifacts, 5* is not always better though it would depend on its base and substats. Say a 3* whose main stat is atk% with atk, em, crit, critdmg substat would defeat a 5* with anemo dmg main, def, def%, hp, hp% substats on your geo character. Artifacts are pure rng though so results may vary

Good video except there is one thing that I’m starting to doubt. While playing with Razor you do 1-3 attacks and dash, but not the finishing blow. As far as I know, witch characters like him the most optimal DPS goes with 1-4 attacks and dash or skill...Is it better just going with 3 attacks then?

Another factor would be he ate attack food that increased attack and crit rate. He might also be using Gladiator set for 40% extra normal attack damage. But still, I do not know how he hit for 6k average and how he had 16k on one hit

This video neglected talent levels which are a huge increase to damage. Basically level character, level talents, level weapons, level artifacts to get a 1:2 crit ratio with crit rate/damage circlet, elemental/physical goblet, attack/er/hp(for hutao) sands, and crit stats>attack. team comps are important using reactions/buffs such as thrilling tales buff/tenacity/noblesse/bennet/sara and vape, metlt, swirl, and superconduct

i notice on chinese videos, they are saying Xing Qiu and Bennett are both under rated chars. Benett is because of his Q skills which either buff you chars with ATK Up if HP is above 70% or a HP regen if HP is under 70%. while Xing Qiu, main draw is his ice swords which mitgate dmg by a lot, and his Q skills work even when you switch to a fire char likr Diluc or Xiang Lin, and it constantly shoots out rain swords by 3 and 2 (alternative) to create element reactions, of vaporize for fire or for Keqing/Razor it will combo well to do Electro reaction. since Xing Qiu is also a banner rate up hero now, i guess some of us may have him at constellation 2 or 4 but still sitting at lvl 1, and not working on him.

Tips: Use Razor as a damage dealer, and try to give his main artifacts ATK If you have supports, try using HP artifacts or try and upgrade their healing skills if they do have any. Go to the secret island in the ocean at where you summon Stormterror 1st & the area where all beginners were (aka beach and when ur brother / sister was taken away from a god) and use aKaeya with his Freeze skill. It’s actually impossible to glide there unless you have Amber, a stamina boost (100 - 190) or stamina food.

Venti elemental mastery is priority because of swirl which buffs damage of other elements

Swirl is a constant reaction so venti's elemental mastery does matter. But if you were to use a Diluc/Klee to cause overload during that electro swirl then their elemental mastery would also matter since they are the character activating the new reaction

1. Take in account enemies’ resistances. 2. Resource priority (be more effective with what you have, concentrate on only one or two characters, specially when it comes to leveling up and talents). 3. Crit rate/Crit Damage ratio REALLY IMPORTANT. 4. Stats over sets (artifacts). 5. Team builds (a lot of people rather have one character of each element because of more elemental reactions but having two of the same element gets you elemental resonance which gives you different buffs depending on the element, also get characters in your team that work well with each other). ar50 here and i came across this vid! just some thoughts, (no hate to the creator) you don’t really need 5* weapons, and 4-3* ones aren’t all that bad. as long as you farm (it’s hard.. really) for decent artifacts that fit the roles of your character, level up their talents, utilize the elemental reactions- then decent dmg will be easy. focus on the crit rate, crit dmg, and elemental mastery stats (and atk for dps ; def for support/shield) . artifacts that can boost the mentioned stats can guarantee you big damages! but again, talents play a really huge part in dealing dmg so make sure you level up their talents too. if you still need help with dmg, i can lend you a hand thru discord! ^^ goodluck to those starting out with building!
