This is just a great time to have the mini 2. I just realized after trying to find the app in the play store I already had previously downloaded for a Mini one all I had to do was update it and I started flying the Mini 2 today with the rainbow app!!!!

Can you use waypoints beyond RC reach as with the mavic 2? Could it for instance fly behind a large building and continue the waypoints mission even when there’s no active connection with the remote? And what’s the maximum distance in waypoints?

Thanks for the video tests. This application is very great. Developers are still adding the latest features. DJI has released third party support in recent days for the Mini 2 drone. Litchi also works, but only in Beta 4.20. Future versions of Litchi will also control the Mini2. I'm glad it's already functional for the Mini2. Thanks for the tests, the Rainbow app is worth your attention.

I have three drones over the last three years, all three feature active track, but because of the type of videos I make, I don't use active track or follow me mode, nor do I fitm myself and only tried master shots once when I bought the Air 2s.

Thanks for your videos I always watch your mini 2 related videos and find them good. I'm considering trying out the rainbow app because of its features and it appears to have a hyperlape feature if i'm not mistaken which I dont think a lot of the other apps do. I bought the Litchi Beta app but it doesnt work I have a mini 2 but the Litchi beta app crashes every time on completing the download of the download dji database no camera feed either and it says disconnected at the top. reinstalling the app, Clearing the app cache and making sure dji apps are force stopped and phone restart doesnt make any differnce. I'm using a galaxy S21 Ultra running android 12 with latest update also dji remote and mini 2 have the latest updates so quite dissapointed. As a test the Litchi public app which doesn't support the mini 2 doesnt crash at least the few mins I had it on to have a look around at the app. Looks like I may have to look at the other competing apps as I think Litchi doesnt update the app that often.

Since wrote that last message Litch released another beta version a few hours ago but that crashed on the permissions screen so I sent a crash report and tried some other things the last thing I tried was wipe the cache partition while in recovery mode on the S21 Ultra my brain was a bit fried at that stage but I don't Thing that worked but if I'm right about this I think that Lichi must have put put up another beta version there second today because an update appeared in the google play store later on so I installed that and now the Litchi app connects to my mini 2 with camera feed and didn't crash for the few mins I had it on so thats great. It was too dark and slightly drizzly rain outside to fly so hopefully I can do a test flight tomorrow. It would be a great addition to the Litchi App if they were able to add a hyperlapse that works like seems to work in the rainbow app that stiches the photos automatically into a video in the app that you can share from your phone. I know a guy that owned a DJI drone before. He crashed it while using Litchi. He crashed it because he lost connection between the drone and controller. DJI didnt want to repair or send him a new one under warranty because he used Litchi (third party app).

Thanks for the demo. When I updated my Litchi paid Beta version and open it, just crashes closed. It's a Pixel 4a5G with Android 12...any idea's? Works fine on a Samsung tablet.

won't ever come. The mini 2 does not have sensors for crash avoidance. They don't want to give you ability to trust the drone on its own, when it can't take care of itself.

I'm excited to fly the drone with my phone now, but when I open rainbow, select the mini 2 and connect the paired controller, I can't open the camera/map view. It only shows the connect drone button. Does anybody know how to fix this?

It's connection thing, try and disconnect the cable and select the right options when plugged back in
