When powerful transformational planets are in retrograde.
There’s a potent combination of anxiety and tedium that accompanies end of term studying. It has a similar feeling to practicing piano scales or doing soccer drills: action that demands discipline to follow-through with all the slow bits, but yields results that can feel extraordinary, uplifting, even life altering when we up-level our skills.
The same can be said for the evolution of our consciousness.
Even as the last of the old structures crumble around us, the new has taken root within. So when the old stories - of not good enough, unworthy, undeserving - show up, instead of trying to quell the worry by reacting inauthentically, we can take a stand for what we value most, what truly defines us. We can choose to be guided by our inner knowing and nurture what we love in ways that feel wholesome and supportive.
Neither mastery nor maturity tend to spring forth fully formed. They call for patience, practice and perseverance. Reviewing the steps. Deepening the awareness. Repeating the process. Which, somewhat surprisingly, can also yield new opportunities we might never have otherwise imagined possible.
