I always had horrendous pain from endo... 23 years of agony before having a hysterectomy. It was always so sweet to be comforted in those times, but after having my surgery I simply wished someone would hold me, tell me the pain would end and it would be okay, and assure me that I was/am no less a woman because that part of me (the part that made me a woman who could never have children) was broken. I’d love something like that 😢

I had the same experience as you did with the period and the hysterectomy. I now have it half as bad as before, but it still hurts (for me) like someone squeezing all that from the inside. Even around (on the inside)my hips and farther down. What started all this commotion was 2 years ago in June, I was just getting off of it and had eaten supper. I went outside for fresh air and almost puked. That really scared me because I hadn't had that symptom before. My close friend called the ambulance and I was in the ER when they did an ultrasound and found a cyst on one of my ovaries. Another one of them had burst in me and was why I almost puked. Long story short, I finally had the surgery last March and was fired from my job for not being able to keep up with the work at an Animal Shelter. At that point, I was so exhausted from the multiple surgeries and trying to still work after the fact, I was going to give them my 2 weeks notice anyway. I tried to hide the fact I was in so much pain from everyone at work. I would go into the room with cats and bawl my eyes out where only the kittens and cats could see me. After we went to bed I would cry myself to sleep from it. Now, it's somewhat bearable for me now. Good luck to everyone with it and know you are not alone!!!! Bless you!!!!!

Have you looked into pelvic floor therapy? I’m hoping to start soon and I’ve heard some amazing things about how it helps women who’ve gone through hysterectomies! Prayers for you!!
