It seems that most “artists” want to cover your beautiful porcelain skin with orange foundations, trying to darken your complexion. As a former makeup artist I will state that it is so important that you match the client’s skin tone as closely as possible. If you want to darken your skin a bit, use a bronzer over the foundation. Foundation that is too dark looks muddy.

strong hydrolipid barrier of the skin. If it is taken care of properly, the skin is able to endure a lot, and if it is disturbed, it causes redness, irritation, skin blemishes, etc. We can see the condition of the skin with a well-groomed, strong hydrolipid barrier, and in what condition this barrier is violated/disturbed/weakened [from times of rash of skin pimples, blackheads, redness]. Until we knew about it, we were still struggling with pimples for no reason [or for just touching our face] and lots of blackheads open and closed. Now the condition of the skin only deteriorates when we break this barrier, because, for example, we keep acids on the skin for too long or use two ingredients with irritating potential on the same day

As a pale person living in latinamerica, guess it's the culture. Because we're all basically historically mixed (from Spanish colonization and indigenous peoples) everyone is generally tan, or on the brown spectrum, sort of. When someone comes along and are a bit paler, they always make a comment cuz it's a bit on the rarer side to see, such a different thing than the norm. Not to make excuses! I hate when they point it out too. Just context 😅
