The point is at least secure the bag otherwise it was all in vain! I'd definitely take the 1yr for him if he had secured the bag & same goes to the young lad interviewed.

If my dad was stupid enough to attempt armed robbery then he can stupidly serve the time for HIS crime!

It's funny how he broke it down but he was right. We could find something else to do besides Rob a bank. Something that doesn't involve either of us going to jail because no one would benefit from it. I'd sell fruit and water on the highway, or straight up beg with a sign and a cup. I'm not letting my boys go to jail for me and I'm not doing anything to be taken away from them.

I love the way he reasons through, not answering purely from an emotional or moral perspective. Dang smart dude. One person in the world I'd serve for--my darling spouse. But they wouldn't let me, that's for sure. They'd plan to get released early for good behavior and, in the meantime, probably get that degree they always wished they'd gotten.

This dude is hilarious, and very rational. I still think I'm taking the bullet for my Dad, he has always kept me straight during my bids.

What if he secured the money and cut you in for serving a year? Different answer, then
@AmericanLord3 ай бұрын
Most people saying they would serve one year for their father don't know how long six months behind bars really is. One month in and I promise you would be singing a different tune, granted you've never done time before.. Some people love prison, and I'm not talking about them 😂

The short answer is hell no from this guy, I’ll do a year for my dad’s 10 in a heartbeat no questions asked.

Dad ruined the family reputation and did not even secure the money. If he got caught for 1 stupid thing. What's to say while you are serving a yr in jail for him he does not do another stupid thing?. Who is going to look after the family then? If he had secured the money you at least know your family is financially okay and you can do the yr knowing your family will be fine and you are coming back to a good home with cooked meals. Yet if not what are you coming back home to? You have nothing now after serving a year for him.

Jesus did warn people to resolves their debts and trespasses before they pass away. So if a family member did something against the divine path, then I love them enough to persuade them to resolves their trespasses and serve their time 😅 If Jesus tells you the answer to a test, why would you put a different answer 😅

Where does he say that?

@lucky5757 The Bible emphasizes the importance of reconciliation and resolving conflicts, but it also warns of consequences for those who do not address these issues. In Matthew 5:23-26, Jesus speaks of potential earthly consequences, such as being handed over to a judge and being imprisoned until the debt is paid. Additionally, the Bible contains several passages that speak more broadly about the spiritual and moral consequences of failing to resolve conflicts and debts: Matthew 6:14-15 : "For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matthew 18:32-35 : "Then the master called the servant in. 'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart." These passages highlight the spiritual consequences of not forgiving others and not resolving conflicts. They suggest that harboring unresolved issues and failing to forgive can affect one's relationship with God and potentially lead to divine judgment. Overall, the Bible encourages believers to seek reconciliation, forgive others, and settle debts and disputes to maintain harmony and avoid both earthly and spiritual consequences.

@@lucky5757 In the Bible, Jesus emphasizes the importance of settling conflicts and debts quickly in Matthew 5:23-26. He warns of both real-world consequences, like jail time, and spiritual consequences, like losing God's forgiveness if you don't make peace with others (Matthew 6:14-15 and Matthew 18:32-35). Basically, it's about making things right with people to keep your life and spirit in good shape.
