It’s inspiring to see your passion...I’m and Indian living in the Middle East. Indian designs are fuller and more traditional...it’s called “mehendi” and in the Middle East they do such designs the one you showed. I love henna so much..it’s so beautiful and smells so nice as well! Thanks for sharing.

I know about the smell... lol people find it really strong, but I actually enjoy the smell.... my old neighbors used to joke that I was from India in my past life....lol I kinda really enjoy the culture. It's so vibrant & colorful. Just such a beautiful culture with amazing people. I've always wanted to visit but could NEVER afford it..

@Simran Verma don't be scared, just do what comes to mind. You'll do awesome. Practice makes prefect tho. Keep it up, you'll do awesome. Sorry, I know this was meant for the person who posted the video, but I think it's awesome you're learning mehndi.
@mummamigmarko7623 жыл бұрын
@Simran Verma that's awesome. It gets easier trust me. If I were able to post a picture in the comments here of the first time I did mehndi & how I do it now, it's night & day. I practiced on my legs, hands, feet, my daughters hands....lol but, it's paying off, I'm not the greatest yet but I'm getting better everytime & my confidence grows when I try a new design. You'll get better each time you do more. Just practice, practice, practice.

I used to get henna when I was a child and I have always loved it and thought it was so beautiful. Recently I decided to buy some henna and give it a whirl. My first attempt was okay, wasn’t perfect so I thought I’d try again today and I followed your video and I love what I’ve created. I attempted to mimic the first design you did with the flower and I’ve added afew extra dots and lines around the outside to make it fit my hand and I’m obsessed!! I wish I could leave a picture to show you. It’s not perfect but it’s a second attempt and practice makes perfect. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!

You've introduced me to the world of henna now and you made it look so easy. Thank you for this very helpful video! I look forward to practicing. The other commenter said to practice with buttercream...I agree since you don't want to waste money until you're ready. Henna is very much like decorating cakes and cookies. Thank you so very much. I started doing my own mehndi because the first lady who was doing it for me got a new job & when covid hit, we couldn't see her anymore. Then, my old downstairs neighbors sister was doing it for me but, she was in school so was rarely around & I figured, if I want to have mehndi done on a regular basis, (which I do) I may as well learn how to do it myself. I did, but I'm not that great at coming up with designs. I'm working on the flower petals but I can't ever get them to be the same size....lol but, nature isn't prefect, neither am I so, why should my mehndi be absolutely perfect. I'm really good at the actual mehndi, just coming up with designs that I feel I can do is the hard part so, thank you so very much for creating these videos. You're amazing. P.S, I really like the design on your hand. It's so pretty.

Hello Arlene, of course, happy to help. The longer you leave it on the better- but it starts staining strait away. So anywhere from 2-24 hours- it will dry, so you just scrape it off. The color underneath is bright yellow-orange and takes two days to darken.
