Unpopular opinion here: I would have much rather seen Porsha have a spin-off surrounding her building business and empowering other women. Instead we have a whole season based off of an extra marital affair? We’re supposed to watch a whole show about a woman arguing with her family about why she wants to be someone’s 4th wife? It’s giving love and hip hop vibes and I don’t support mess like that on my tv. Shame on Bravo for painting black women as ghetto home-wreckers, they knew what they were doing and Porsha ate it up. It appears Bravo thought they could support the Black Lives Matter movement as Porsha inserted some energy there and had herself filmed doing so, and hence this 'spin-off'. Kandi Burrus discussed racial injustice and too had a platform, as did others but seemed to not get recognized for it, or not as much. I can see that having an ancestor who was a Civil Rights leader could certainly add content. As for the spin-off, we all know the fiasco that ensued with Porsha becoming engaged to a married man tarnished the story, it was sorted, ugly as so many weighed in unfavorably to the scandal. I see why she wouldn't want to face the ladies on RHOA. The biggest disappointment is dragging loved ones in to the mess. Family who most likely eventually support you anyway, so why put them in this embarrassing depiction. Selfish indignation apparently overrules the senses, logic and dignity, all because of insatiable thirst for attention and what appears to be the highest bidder. The optics really don't look good.
