If you’re a first time wearer, I would 100% get Curtis’s starter kit. Like he said, it absolutely has everything you need. Over time, you can slowly incorporate other products that work best for you (glues, tapes, shampoo and conditioner for coloured treated hair, etc.) Curtis also has wonderful videos that teach you exactly what to do. I couldn’t have done this without his guidance, encouragement and support. It’s been a life changer for me and I’m finally enjoying life again. There is a bit of a learning curve but don’t give up. Within a few months, you’ll be able to do reinstalls on your own which saves a ton of money.

@@HairExperience my pleasure. You’ve been amazing throughout this journey. 🙂 I’m now a pro at doing the hairline. LOL But seriously, it comes out perfect every time. I’ve been doing the front in 1/2 inch sections. Takes about 10 minutes longer but so worth it!!

Hey Curtis, I got my first system on Saturday (picked up a starter kit from you) and the stylist blew it. The color is slightly off, the fit is terrible (one side of my hairline does not connect to my bio hair), and the unit has lifts on all of the sides and back because she didn't apply tape all the way to the edge. She was combing aggressively into my .02 mm poly so I might have tears. I'm very nervous to take it off. She said she has been doing this for 15 years. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks for all you do.
@jeff-li2ck3 жыл бұрын
update: i went back and had her fix the fit: feels great now. hairline looks better than before. she walked me through the whole process of removing, cleaning and reinstalling allowing me to do each step. no tears in the unit. can’t fix the color which is the biggest issue. they said i’m definitely a 1B and although that’s what i ordered my unit is closer to a 1 so it’s a manufacturing issue or i got sent the wrong system by a popular seller that won’t be named. moral of the story: it’s not perfect, but it’s not a train wreck like i thought. my advice to whoever is reading this is this… take your unit out of the packaging and take lots of pictures in direct sunlight before going to the salon. your stylist might not keep you from making the mistake.

Here’s a good question. I’m going to do hair transplant surgery. While the transplant hair is growing, can we use a hair system until the hair sprouts in fully? Do a video on that

Hi Curtis, been watching a lot of your stuff. I get my first system in two weeks! Hope my hair is long enough by then lol. I was just wondering if scalp protector is necessary? I see some people don't use it and some people do? Some say it just turns into a sticky mess after a while. I am doing poly all around the unit with lace in the center. Plan on taping around perimeter and back, with ghost bond in the front. Just curious if I should be getting some protector for this setup.

You may want to try a different mike placement or maybe a lapel mike. The room is jacking with your sound. Sooner or later I’m want to try this. Have to take the leap. Think will share yet channel with my wife. Thank you for these videos.

I don't. I did one when it all started (about the hair industry). Not about the rest of it though. I do follow it because I'm an investor too. It's nuts what's going on. I just didn't want to get off topic. Ya know

Hello Kurtis; hope life is treating u well. I have a question to you since u are a lace and poly wearer now. You tried both. Which one do you think sticks better at the hairline ? am using lace now and am sick and tired of lifts , the hairline won't stay on for 2 days straight. It sucks Got any tips? Should I switch to poly?
@HairExperience3 жыл бұрын
Hi. Doing well !! Thank you. I'd say poly does a better job at that. But that's just my experience. Ya know

I call it. Hair Shock. Not used to having so much hair. My advice is don't constantly pick at it. If you must? Go from top down. Not bottom up. Especially where your system hair meets your own growing hair.
