Absolutely, sorry farket but there are worse things in this game (that I love, an have at least 670+ hours on} thatactually ARE bugs, but this isn't one of them, it's a level of difficulty, for crying out loud lol. Or am I missing something 🤔

Hey is this the only discovered use of setganesetupsetting so far? I asked modders and others if they knew what this setting does and it was unknown. I thought it could help my friend set day length back to normal after he realized what changing it does to the timescale, thirst, hunger, etc

I thought the cold penalty setting was for how much vitality is crippled when in the cold, not how fast stamina regenerates. Is the bug from the setting affecting regeneration when it's not supposed to?

yep, even when it's not cold it still cripples stamina regen

Go into the game and type "cheatstick" while in-game. Not even in the menu, in the forest, and you can press F1 to bring up cheats

As a greedy game dev once said... It's not a Bug it's a feature. (personally I don't mind it makes sense with how much energy players squeeze out of the character. he should drop dead of exhaustion in most playthroughs by day 3.

I really enjoyed survival in The Forest. I set the survival settings to hard. It was very difficult to play until I got a good ranged weapon. Now I know why.

The most annoying bugs are related to not being able to place certain logs. You have a half log with a log leaning on it from one direction but you can’t place the log on the other side. It just doesn’t work. This is one reason why I stopped playing the game

Yeah, im gona change that in the console. Im playing with max. difficulty on the custom menu (similar to vlads 100 day challenge). It just doesn't make any sence, because you are literally not cold and it doesn't say what happens...

I think they should actually add the slow regen option separately, i.e. there should be another custom game option about how quickly stamina regens outside of cold. The game is just too easy as it is.

This so call stamina glitch is just you not realizing the "cold penalties" is supposed to take effect all the time... what it means it's the weather of the island being too cold so your stamina would recover slower when you are on the island, aka in the whole game, not specificly when you are cold. It's supposed to be a difficulty setting, enable this make your game harder, just that.
