Hello Simone and Armando, this is very helpful! I'm a Dutch citizen living and working in the US, looking to buy a home in Italy. Hopefully, I can work remotely and make this home my permanent residence. Knowing they only cover 60%, I can afford something in the 90k range, which is good because I intend to pay it off within 10 years or less. Which banks can you recommend to foreigners who would need a "dollar to euro" account to pay the mortgage? Grazie mille!

When you discuss finances and having a good debt to income ratio, is this referring to debts from my native country or only debts I have accrued in Italy?
