I met my ex online and we talked on the phone every day, he lived in another city, then we met after a while, and everything seemed great. We became a couple and then I told him (because he asked) how exactly it happened that I bought a part of an apartment. So I told him the full story that before I didn’t want to tell because I thought at the stage it was irrelevant. Basically, my friends and me wanted to buy the apartment together as it was a shared flat. One of these friends was my ex, who he knew about. And only him and me ended up getting a credit from the bank. When we bought the apartment as an investment, we were already separated. It was rented out and it worked pretty well. So he realized that I own a part of the apartment with an ex, and he freaked out. And the crazy thing is, he was divorced and had two children with his ex wife. I never complained about that. But he said it’s hard for him that I own an apartment together with an ex because that is something that connects us. I said nothing connects people like having children together! But somehow he hated the fact that I owned an apartment with my ex. Meanwhile, I bought the half of my ex for a fair price and he bought something else, so I own the whole apartment alone. But my god, he really made a huge deal about it and for a while, I felt bad for the investment. In hindsight, he was just extremely insecure.
