This video seeks to justify the universal moral obligation that we all have to the people around us and especially to our ancestors. It is my view that the single most important virtue that has been lost in society is that of gratitude.
Do not buy the modern individualistic doctrine that many blindly follow. Dare to be different, and make your parents proud.

You're making a false dichotomy. You don't either do whatever you want or honor the burden of responsibility to others. You should do what you feel is right. Each individual makes a judgement about every single aspect of their life, including the life of their parents, the society they live in, and the religion and ideology that was forced upon them. Individual agency is not a thing you can look at - it is the thing that is looking. It goes all around. You'll find that young people in other western countries, such as Norway, are not complaining nearly as much as their american counterparts. Because young americans have a lot more legitimate complaints about the system they live under. If you don't question the value of everything, including authority, that's how you end up with an authoritarian regime like Russia.

Thank you for your comment, I appreciate it. I think in this instance you are misunderstanding the point of the video. I am not defending the blind conservation of bad systems. This video is about being helpful to the people around you, and understanding how fortunate we all are in the grand scheme of things.
