There's literally no difference between the copies! I could understand before the reprint that card wasn't legal in Modern, but shouldn't it be after despite the copy being a prior print?

@dragonmaster613 Yeah, once a card is on the legal list, all printings, even in otherwise illegal sets, are legal. That is indeed still the case, don't worry.

Meme aside, why is this even a thing? odern has the card too, the printing shouldn't matter unless the cards are of a different physical quality(like size or thickness) in the opposing format

I have never played in a professional tournament in my life, so forgive my ignorance in this manner, but I thought that everything was legal in modern if it was printed after a set date as long as the card itself is not banned? Are cards from commander sets not legal? I would think that if one version of the card is legal in the format that you are playing, then you should be able to play any version of it legally in the format as long as the abilities and text on the card are the same. Anything else just seems like nitpicking to me. It is the same card that does the exact same thing, and the card itself is legal in the format, so who really cares what edition it is from at that point.

Stop shilling the new cards. Cards of any edition can be played as long as legal in format. You want more people to buy but Hasbro has made a killing in the stocks already. I'm making a whole deck of proxies to save money but you replace card editions? I'm playing Magic, while you're thinking about the stock market and Hasbro share price.

I've played Titanfall 2 since 2019 and I wouldn't say it's a dead game. More accurately, it's on life support and it's barely kept alive by a passionate player base just like the other TF2, albeit worse at gaining new players because of the freakishly high skill ceiling.
