It's funny.. I really do bump YOD everyday to get me going to that place i need to be mentally, so it is very much like coffee, but this coffee is actually healthy for you ;) Simply put, the dude is one of great ones.Underappreciated, Underrated and only when he's buried in the grave will all those in a coma come to the objective conclusion that he was great and should've been enjoyed while he was alive. Nothing you can do about that type of greatness in the world of the arts. Its just the way the world spins, the masses are always a little late to the party. Your Old Droog is so rhythmically tight and loose at the same time, that for myself, listening to him is more like listening to Kraftwerk in a sense, than just a hiphop artist. Kraftwerk is the ultimate driving, running or biking music imo, and when I listen to YOD, it's the very same. Ultimate music to drive, bike or run to etc... Not all hip hop music does this for me, but Droog does ;) I for one do appreciate this dudes artistry, and am very glad I have him on rotation with the rest of the music that plays as the soundtrack to my life ;)
