Your personal fishmonger reports: Blanquillo!

Kirk Lombard of Sea Forager seafood shares a brief highlight of one of this week's fish: Blanquillo (aka ocean whitefish.) Blanquillo seldom shows up in our area, and are a favorite of many Southern California fishermen. Similar to rockfish, this is an important species for artisanal fishermen in Mexico, where it is very popular and known as “blanquillo.”
