I remember when I was in secondary school I think at the age of 13 a Christian Egyptian said to this to me and I was shocked. I wanted to reply to him so badly but I just didn't know how to. don't want the people to go through the same horrific experience as it kind of disturbed me hence why I have uploaded this video.

For those who are still having trouble understanding: 1. the problem lies within your understanding, not with the prophet ﷺ. 2. you cannot picture and compare a 9 year old girl in todays time and compare it to that time. It’s incomparable. there was no concept of watching spongebob after elementary and secondary school and going through childhood and adolescence, rather, you were either a child or an adult. They were mentally prepared for marriage much earlier as well as physically prepared. it’s a fallacy to say today 9 year olds are not ready (physically and mentally) for marriage, therefore 9year olds were not ready for marriage 1500 years ago which is a false comparison.

Thats funny - the divorce laws permit the divorce of a girl who has not yet commenced her monthly cycle, and the new husband must wait 3 months as in all other cases.

We as Muslims should base our notion of what is 'good' or 'okay' based on how the prophet ﷺ and his companions did.

The fact that Shaykh Tahir Wyatt has a post in the Prophet's Masjid is enough Tazkiyyah for him and those against this need to check the madhab/way that they follow and whether it is the madhab of Masjid an-Nabawiyyah or a hizb that their party leaders have formed.

Do you think it should be allowed for a woman to have children at 12 or 13 etc if they want to and get married that age?
@Mikesco108 жыл бұрын
Ming Y Yes and no... there is a complication in your question because, I dont know what you believe in so I can't answer you in the right way but lets just say that in this modern time 99.9% will not get married at such age and give birth for "cultural" and "developmental reasons. So i don't know why you are asking that question.
@mingy93098 жыл бұрын
Should have nothing to do with what I believe but do you think it is ok for all humanity to do? Why should cultural things have an influence on it? That is like saying if culture says it is ok to murder then cultural influence should make it acceptable? As you are a Muslim what do you think the Quran tells you in the sense what age you should be allowed to marry and the age when a woman should have a child?
@maliksaabsays8 жыл бұрын
"...he would have told him..." Why would God have told anyone what you dictate? Poor soul, you are lost or else you would have better to do than to express your own desire that must be taken as an objective time-independent truth. Do something useful with your life & time. Both are precious.

Assalamu Alaykum Wabarakatou Wabarakatou please for the sake of Allah change the title of the vedio. If your point for making the title such is to teach the Muslims how to respond to such a statement, then add it in the description box with an explanation not as a title. Your job is to aid to the Muslim not the other way around. The title is misleading and can cause doubt to enter in the heart of the Muslim about the prophet ﷺ before he even watches the video and that will lead him astray. Please for the sake of Allah Change it.

6 years old is something that really bugs me, and whenever someone asks me about it I have nothing to say in our defense. About the logic of cultural difference, well you can't really justify something by saying that. At that time many other things were socially acceptable yet we consider them as bad even when we speak of that time but in this case it is a good thing?

The marriage was consummated at the age of 9. And she reached puberty. If you look back 100 years and compared them to girls in this generation, you'll see a lot of differences in their maturity. Now a days, you have to be 16 or 18 to be considered mature or an adult. Kids are getting less and less mature these days. 100 years ago, it wasn't like that. Now imagine 1400 years ago. Girls back then at the age of 9 are probably more mature then 16 year old girls today. Anyways, their are alot of things in this video that you can use to defend this topic.

Why do you have nothing to say? You think the best of mankind (Peace and blessing be upon Him), whom Allah taala said about: Nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. (53:3) did something wrong? Who cares what the non believers say?
@mynameisname27352 жыл бұрын
That's because your looking at the 7th century Arabia with 21st century Western lenses. The standard for marriage was adulthood. Determined by puberty. Aisha was pubescent and we have hadith evidence for this. And scientific evidence to prove girls became adults when 9

She was basically engaged at 6.as she lived with her auntie after the marriage. When she was 9 that's when she went to love with the prophet saw. And that's when marriage was consumated(finalised)

So is he saying that Sharia law tells you culturally that you are not to marry children anymore? In the Quran it gives instructions on how Allah says you are to divorce and marry a child before she reaches puberty which means she has NOT had her menstrual. Doesn't the Quran trump everything? Isn't the Quran the standard? So whatever is in the Quran it doesn't matter what the Sharia law says correct? I'm asking the real question.
@QananiisaaIdris6 ай бұрын

The title is wrong. Muhammad is only accused of marrying a single underage girl, not "girls". Additionally, the objection to him doing this is not the marriage itself. The objection is that he insisted on having sexual relations with her at the age of 9. The sex was in no way necessary for A'isha to live in his home and narrate so many Hadith about him. Furthermore, the Hadith in Sahih Muslim numbered 1422d (or Volume 3, Book of Marriage, 3311) plainly states that she was still playing with dolls when the marriage was consummated. Playing with dolls and other images is Haram unless you are prepubescant, as recorded in Fath-ul-Bari, Volume 13, page 143.

Bunch of fools. A Nabi, if you understand the Righteous nature of a Prophet, would never touch a child. Quran teaches you that all religions are one and that Jews, Christians and Sabeans who believe in one God and work righteousness are going to Paradise. Yet 99% of you ignore this. Instead, you believe in these statements. Enjoy yourselves.
@karabiner1597 жыл бұрын
Mister Wood That verse is abrogated by later verses. Also, not all Christians and Jews are believers, as later on in Surah Baqarah, Allaah mentions: ما يود الذين كفرو من أهل الكتاب و المشركين..." "... Those who disbelieve from the people of the book (Christians and Jews) do not want for you..." Showing that not all Christians and Jews are believers. Furthermore, Allaah also says within the next few pages of the ayat you quoted (in the 3rd or 4th quarter of Juz number 1) that "من اسلم وجهه لله و هو محسن فله اجره..." "Whoever submits his face to his lord, for him is the reward". The verb for surrender is "aslim", from which the word "Muslim" (one who surrenders or submits" is derived. This is just the example I remember off the top of my head. You can read around the topic and find many more proofs to show why only some of the ahl al kitaab were regarded as believers and not all of them. Lastly, within the 3rd quarter of the Juz is the verse: "and we have sent down to you clear ayaat (signs). And none disbelieves in them except the faasiqoon (the defiantly disobedient) showing that even if a person from ahl Al kitaab who may have been a believer, if he rejects the ayaat given to prophet Muhammad upon hearing of them, is a defiantly disobedient individual and therefore not a believer.
