My Christian grandmother married at age thirteen in an Iraqi village. The sole reason they implemented this modification was that children need more science-based learning and math due to new technology, hence school took longer to complete. It did not change because society had "improved" or because it was "morally wrong". In America throughout the nineteenth century, the “age of consent” was seven in Delaware and ten in the majority of states. In the United Kingdom During the 13th century, females as young as twelve were legally deemed capable of giving marriage permission. This age was later reduced to 10 in 1576, before returning to twelve in 1861. Subsequent changes raised the “age of consent” to thirteen in 1875, then to sixteen in 1885.

First let me tell you that Ayesha was 6/ 7 years old when she herself accepted the marriage proposal of prophet Muhammad ﷺ brought by her Father Hazrat Abubakr. But she was already engaged with Zubair Ibn Mut'im. They broke the engagement. Then she actually got married After three years when Prophet Muhammad ﷺ migrated to Madina, then Aisha was 9/10 years old. Aisha رضي الله عنه was mentally capable, physically and biologically mature and martially abled. The jews and enemies of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ like Abu jahal, sheebah, Utbah bin Rabeeah, Abu Lahab etc never criticized his marriage. They could criticize his marriage like today's phobes do, but they knew that Hazrat Aisha was enough mature. . Aisha said that she used to put her head on Prophet Muhammad's shoulders while hugging. She was also in the battlefield where children and old ones were not allowed. She was as teacher for women to teach them morals and Islam. She also narrated about 2210 Ahadiths. Even the highly knowledgeable and close companions of Prophet Muhammad acquired knowledge from her. She was always happy with her marriage as she herself accepted the proposal. She also said that she used to beat prophet Muhammad in race. She also led the Army in the Battle of Camels. Do you think a kid can do such things. Wallahi it's the phobic Heart which doesn't let a person accept the truth unless it opens up and get soften(Hatred-free). May God bless you.

In pre-Islamic Arab society (Jahiliyyah period), girls were reportedly buried alive, and their ages were only counted after they reached puberty. The "shirt-dressing ceremony" signified that a girl had reached puberty and was ready for marriage. This context might explain certain narrations about girls’ ages. For example, a hadith mentioning the age of 9 could be interpreted as 9 years after puberty, which aligns with the historical data comparing the ages of Aisha and her sister. In this interpretation: puberty age (9) + 9 years after puberty = 18.
@TY-gh6krКүн бұрын
Based on historical accounts, Hz. Esma, the elder sister of Hz. Aisha, was 27 years old during the Hijra (622 AD). Since Hz. Aisha is said to be around 10 years younger than her sister, this suggests that she would have been approximately 17 or 18 years old at that time. Given that her marriage to the Prophet Muhammad took place shortly after the Hijra, this calculation implies that Hz. Aisha was around 18 years old when she got married, rather than the younger age commonly believed. This interpretation calls for a reconsideration of her widely accepted marriage age.

Prophet Muhammad, PBUH, did what was right for Islam: 1. The marriageable age in Islam is not defined by number of years but by biological age, physical and mental maturity. 2. It was Allah's will that he married Ayesha at that age. On hind sight we see that it was a great blessing for Islam. Bibi Ayesha died at the age of 67 years. That is about 50 years after the passing of our Prophet. For 50 years Bibi Ayesha Bibi was instrumental in Islamic guidance thru her numerous Hadith. She narrated 2,210 hadiths. These hadiths covered a variety of topics, including inheritance, pilgrimage, eschatology, and the life of Prophet Muhammad. 3. Whatever Prophet Muhammad did was required of him by Allah. The purpose and knowledge of his actions is best known to him and to Allah. Had he done anything wrong he wouldn't have been obeyed, trusted, respected and loved as he was, during his lifetime and after.

The age of sexual consent, for example, increased from 7 ( seven seven seven SEVEN SEVEN SEVEN seven seven seven) in the colonial era to 10, 12 and even 14 in the 18th century. @saeem8701 When Brahma saw Saraswati's beauty, he desired her. Saraswati attempted to flee from her father in one version of the story, but she could not escape and succumbed to his seduction. The pair lived as husband and wife for 100 years According to Harivamsa which is supplement to Mahabharata, (Vishnu Parva, Chapter 59, Verse 35) and the Skanda Purana, Rukmini was 8 years old when she married Krishna. As for the third point, yes, there are different versions, but the popular one is that the was at a marriagable age. It is ambiguous what it is exactly, but there are sources that mention 17. However, there are versions where the calculated age is 6. The higher ups decided it is not accurate, but honestly they didn't provide any reason why this exact one is not accurate, and this of course opens a rabbit hole into the accuracry and authenticity of Hindu texts. It is simply not sincere to say it is not authentic because I don't want it to be. Without an authenticated chain of narration, all talks of autheitcity are invalid. As for the last story, One day, when Parvati was only eight years old, her father, Himavan, took her to see Lord Shiva. From birth, Parvati had always been very spiritual. She always wanted to know about God, so she was thrilled to see Lord Shiva. But Lord Shiva was in a meditative consciousness and he did not pay any attention to the little girl. After that first encounter, Parvati used to come every day to see Lord Shiva. She would offer him fresh flowers, hoping that one day he would open his eyes and speak to her. In the back of her mind, she had formed the idea that this was the man she wanted to marry. The days became years and Parvati grew into a beautiful young woman. Still Shiva remained absorbed in his eternal trance. How could anybody disturb Shiva's trance? Once he enters into trance, he enjoys the highest and deepest bliss. So why should he come back? One day, Parvati confided to her father, “I really want to marry Lord Shiva. He is meditating and meditating. How I wish that I could also meditate like him!” Himavan was very sad that Shiva was not paying any attention to his beautiful daughter, who was so spiritual in every way. He decided to play a trick on Shiva: he invoked the god of love to disturb Shiva's meditation. The name of this particular god was Madana. Madana had a bow and some arrows that were made of flowers. He used to shoot these arrows at his victims and then they would be filled with feelings of emotional love. At Himavan's request, Madana aimed his arrows at Lord Shiva and the arrows fell as flowers at Shiva's feet. Suddenly, Shiva opened his third eye and caught sight of the god of love standing with his bow in his hands. Shiva immediately burned this unfortunate god to ashes because he had disturbed Shiva's meditation. The idea that her father agreed to marry his eight year old to the god of destruction. And the god of love accepted. All the commentary talks about how she waited for eternity eating leaves and how her age was infinite, and how she is Shiva's half, so she is him and he is her, king of how Christians believe in the triune god, simply doesn't make sense. And not only that, but how everyone was OK and the only reason she wasn't married earlier was because Shiva was meditating?

I thought Islam talks about objective morality not subjective , you are making subjective comparisions with people of their times , people who followed the pratices of their places and times. But the prophet is an example to all humanity, The most perfect human to ever live. How does an adult consummate a marriage with a 9 year old. even if she is menstruating,her body is still underdeveloped.What if she becomes pregnant ,imagine how risky it would be to her life and the kid's life .If this is wrong then the prophet was following a practice of his time. The current age of consent and marriage are not just being set arbitrarily but considering he physical and mental growth of the human body unlike the people of past who didn't have this knowledge. I am just telling my genuine opinion

first of all morality comes from Allah and his messenger.secondly People at past were healthier than today and became matured at less age. Thirdly Allah was to protect. So making false assumptions will not make anything.and if you will do like that, you will not even marry because it has also risk.Fouthly you are saying it risk based on the health and physic of people nowadays,but do you know the health and physic of people?.

The assertion that she was only nine when she got married is incorrect. We know that Asma was 10 years older than Aisha and that she died at age 100 on the 73rd year after the Hijra. We know the Hijrah happened in 622 and we know the marriage to the prophet happened in 624 so that would put Asma at age 29 when Ayisha married the profphet and that would make Aisha 19.

@@ThereisoneGodworthyofworship Well, all scholars but one place Hisham as an authority in Hadith, even after he became older, and that he never mixed Hadiths. The one was refuted and therefore Hisham's narration is authentic. Even if it is not, there is at least 1 autheitc narration from a completely unrelated narration chain that confirm the same thing. So it is not an ahad hadith Also, the man who narration the hadith of Asma's age, AbdalRahman Ibn Abi Zinad himself is weak amongst almost all scholars, including Al Dhahabi and Ibn Hanbal and Yahya bin Main, in fact the place I found this narration was from the book of al Dhahabi Siyar Alam Al Nobalaa, which discusses the lives of different people, he included the narration, but added commentary that the narrator is weak, so any ahad hadith through him is weak. The matter isn't miswriting since it appear from many unrelated narration chains. Again, it wasn't written by Hisham, he narrated it, put forward an authenticated chain of narration, and there are other paths that confirm what he was narrating. It can't be Shia influence, all the narrators were known as trust and straight people. In fact, Shia that made up hadith were all known since they simply can't provide chains of narrations, which is why in their hadith they don't care about narration chains. The matter is clear, there is no Shia influence. All those who narrated the hadith made sure what they said is true and documented. And all scholars accredit them with this

Benefits of marriage of rasulullah salallahualayuwasallam and aisha radiallahuanha Firstly we found out what the correct criteria for marriage is its not about being 18 16 12 all ages used in west rather it is about a women puberty physical mental maturity and readyness to get married regardless the age womenhood is based on puberty and physical mental development not age alone a 12 year old still may not hit puberty yet a 9 year old may have hit puberty and her mentality will be different to the girl who hasnt gone through puberty due to hormones and mental boost along with physical development Before going to the next part response to even some muslim is that she was not 18 19 at marriage infact she couldnt have been anything older then 12 at marriage so those muslim trying to impress the west you need to fix yourself according to three authentic narrations her age was 6 to 9 at engagement 9 to 12 at marriage and 10 to 13 when she moved in with the prophet salallahualayuwasallam she wouldnt have been anything younger or older those are the possiboe ages, in those days age dispute was common, fatima radiallahuanha the daughter of prophet salallahualayuwasallam narrations show she was born 5 years before or 5 years after prophethood both these are unlikely the more agreed possible date of her birth is born on the year of the prophethood or a year after prophethood had started her husband ali radiallahuanhu its said he was 6 9 or 10 when prophethood began so theres a 4 year gap in his age, uthman radiallahuanhu had a 3 year difference for his year of birth you will see for many sahaba their age is slightly disputed but we have a rough idea on how old they couldve been but no doubt she was nothing older then 12 at marriage and 9 minimum Second benefit of her young marriage was she was of a similar or same age as fatima radiallahuanha the daughter of prophet salallahualayuwasallam depending on which narrations you accept, when she moved in with the prophet salallahualayuwasallam he moved fatima in the same house as aisha radiallahuanha where she quickly became friends with her and would remain close to her even after the prophet salallahualayuwasallam death, also she aisha radiallahuanha got the best of examples to follow there was prophet of allah the best of creation and there was the daughter of the prophet who was one of the four perfect women, she aisha radiallahuanha living with these two great people was a great learning experiance for her in every way she saw how their relationship was their manners good behaviour and in fatima radiallahuanha she had a women to look upto for all this Last benefit to mentioned she lived upto her 60s or 70s where she narrated the second most hadith of sahaba and spread knowledge
