This Q n A section was super helpful, I had many questions answered without even asking! Going to work on the tip regarding making my own demos amongst others😇

My question: To improvise on a backing track, is it necessary to know every note from A at G on the fretboard by heart? That is, as we play with the backing, should we be able to recognise by vision any note on any fret and land on exactly only those notes based on the backing scale? Should reading the fretboard be just as easy as reading a book? Or is it enough to improvise in different ways- by using the scale formulae of tones and semitones, or by calculating in mind where the desired notes will come, or simply by playing scale shapes without knowing the names of the notes by heart? I am trying to improve on this aspect of my playing. Hope my question is understood and not too lengthy. Thanks in advance

It would depend on what your goals and abilities are. If you do wish to play whatever you hear in your head, it would definitely help to know the notes on the fretboard. If you have great ears and the ability to let your fingers instinctively find their place on the fretboard, it may be less of an issue. Short answer, putting in the hard work never hurts either way :)

My question: what's the best way to keep your guitar hardware clean? Specifically the bridge, tremolo system and the other metallic bits. thanks!
