hey Natalie thank you for answering my question on playing C and D above the staff and luckily i was able to fix it by buying one of your reeds, which that also helped me realize just how much having a good reed can help with everything from tone to even more clean articulation.

Hi thanks very much for the great information! I do have questions about the best way to care for reeds…and when do you generally toss a reed?

Make sure you’re storing reeds in a well ventilated case when not in use so that they have the best chance to fully dry out and avoid mold! I usually toss reeds when I feel like I can’t control them well anymore and they lose some of their vibrancy/start to sound and feel dull.
