He's bigger than any other super mutant in the game, and if I recall correctly, he's said to be ten to fifteen feet tall. Definitely close enough to the size of fallout 4's behemoths.

Arguably (and THINLY arguable) Frank Horrigan isn't a mutant, at least not in the traditional sense. By being an Enclave soldier, free of radiation and EXTREMELY lucky, the FEV didn't "mutate" him like it did others - it worked as intended. Stronger, larger, faster, smarter, Frank is the next step in human evolution. I think it'd be interesting to know if his genitals worked or not since that was the whole issue the Master ran in to

Frank Horigan, the only Fallout enemy where there are only 2 ways the legitimately fight him without mods: 1) know about the turrets in the room beforehand and hack them, or, 2) grab the biggest party of followers you can get with the best gear in the game and just *pray* Horigan kills you last.

No. You can absolutely 1v1 him with a decent character. It's the final challenge of the game, don't worry about saving ammo or healing items, you cam just BOZAR his ass if you brought enough ammo, or keep criting him with a gaus. If you go a sniper route, an aimed eye shot should be a 95% at this level

@@texanmadman6899 The 3d Fallouts favor fighting a group in a large battle setting as the final encounter instead of a true 1v1 final boss. The walk to the purifier in 3, assault on the Institute/Brotherhood in 4, and the battle of Hoover Dam in New Vegas. I'm speculating, but I think it's for the purpose of not having some big bad dude who's super powerful and the player going 'where was this guy the whole game while I was fucking shit up for the bad guys?'. Which is honestly the problem I have with Lanius. He's like a 7ft tall monster of the east, but he spends 99% of the game hiding out and killing his own soldiers for some reason while I'm over here dismantling the entire Legion chain of command. Like I kill Caesar and this guy, who the game tells us basically worships Caesar, doesn't feel the need to come kill me? Like Oliver and Autumn and Father are personally weak, and Maxxson's a self-absorbed idiot with his own army, so it makes sense why they don't try and come kill the player personally, but it doesn't make sense for Lanius or Frank, honestly. It creates some questions that don't really have in-game answers.

Frank one shot punches Deathclaws like it’s nothing The Master was memorable but Frank was iconic. Probably helped by the fact you occasionally get to see small insights into his (presumably) daily routine throughout the story that gives you an idea what he’s all about. What a masterpiece! Only thing that could make it better imo would be if those subtle yellow emergency lights that activate when most blast doors and alarms are going off were added to the background. (The ones with vault opening in the opening of fallout 2),I don't know if they're in this spot, though, so having them may or may not be canonical. I would expect them, though, on a military installation with a nuclear reactor. This is by far one of my favorite animations that I've seen

Fallout needs more end game bosses like this. New Vegas gave us The Legate, Ulysses, and a giant fucking Robo scorpion. Hell it even gave us two bonus bosses at the two nuke sites! Fallout 3 and 4 didn't really set up any epic fights. Every major boss they threw at us was a pushover in 3 and 4. Raider boss Colter was a step in the right direction though. Fallout 76 has some decent boss fights, but they felt big only because it was a multiplayer game.
