| YOUR SECRET WEAPON | or The Power Of Optimism. As someone who's been a cynic pessimist for decades I can tell you this: Optimism truly is your secret weapon. But like any ability... it needs to be forged. Definitely worth to embark on this path to learn this skill, if you haven't been blessed with it from the start. Stay the course, everybody. YOU got this.

Optimism is a cope. If people want to hurt you or take from you they will and it does not matter what you think. You are a false prophet espousing dangerous and delusional thoughts. Seek wisdom elsewhere brothers, try boxing and learn to retaliate it could save your life! I know what I'm talking about, i have experienced extreme violence, malevolence and heinous acts perpetrated on myself for absolutely no reason and not even the police would help. /thread.

My parents taught me pessimism, my dad especially. Super conservative, risk averse person and I saw how he had to make excuses for his unhappiness as an adult as just “the way the world is.” He’s always been a hardworking guy, but rarely on his own terms. In some ways, I respect him a lot for that, but even as a kid I always got the sense he felt part of his life has remained unlived. Throughout my 20s, I spent a lot of time around people who are essentially “covert pessimists,” always finding nice ways of saying that things are the way they are for a reason and that you’re better off just going with the general consensus. People who mean well, but prioritize comfort and status quo above their own values and goals. I argue these people are often worse for you in the long run than people who are outright naysayers. It’s much easier, and much more fun to resist an antagonist than a friend. I’m confident that life will pass most of them by as well if they’re not careful. I’m 29 now, and I’m only recently realizing that the only person who can decide “the way things are” is you. Even if I’m wrong, I’d rather die trying.

I cant speak for aspolute truth, but from my experience we need both, or we need optimsm with realism.. i am optimst but in my own way.. in my life i have a 2 years breaking walls woth head.. and that may cost me my life.. i start to have more and more destructiv toughts, then at the end even the most posible demonic toughts about which i dont wanna talk. It start slow, but then you are just in the dark.. as fish in the see.. and you cant grt of on your own .. i had mental break, then i accept things have they are, and start working on what i can do.. and as you say.. everithi is in your hands and its 1000x times more satisfing when you do it on your own, even its something small its very big coz you did it alone. Fight woth your full power but when you start to become frustrwte or see you have very bad tought you never had in your life.. then change the course, Maybe that change is even better. I let go job.. but i got realy good family, i work on my mental and phisical strenght, learning alone and im enjoing realy.. i start to belive more in God and that help me when im without any weapon.. at the end im realy happy and thankfull for that experience near death.. but thats how we growt :) like saiyans :)

The greatest thing about living in the 21st century for me is being able to access the wisdom of other cultures easily. I'm from Zambia, and in my country and in Africa in general, it is almost impossible to find the kind of content you find on this channel. Hardly anyone sits down to really think, let alone write, about how the individual can use the resources within his own mind to better his life and the lives of those around him. The individual and his struggles with personal meaning in this world are looked upon almost with scorn as objects of philosophical contemplation. What is most thought and spoken about is the tribe or the community at large. So for people like me, GRAVEMIND fills a serious void. I can't thank the people behind this channel enough.

The two greatest gifts my father gave me is a hard work ethic and optimism to match it. You can drag yourself out of a lot in life with just hard work and an optimistic view on your situation.
@yearofthegarden

Optimism is my job, I manage a shit show business that I'll eventually inherit, and I keep the team smiling, educated, engaged, and no matter how difficult the conversations are, I wrap it in an optimistic perspective. They remark a lot that I am constantly giggling, and I had to learn this on my own, because growing up was anything but optimistic, and most of my friends are dead because they couldn't see through the moments of shade that enveloped them. Life changes and evolves so much in just one year, small steps lead to easy distance when you keep showing up every day to participate in your own success.

I am crashed into pieces mentally beacuse of the stupidest thing I did yesterday...I'm a 22 year old senior student who was about to pass the deadline of his graduate thesis and destroy thus my 4 year old achievements. I guess they will maybe accept my work but there are some mistakes in the format of my thesis so they can still reject me...I'm so devastated rn with what I've done with myself becauses of procrastination. I'm so scared to disappoint my parents who helped a lot to enrol in my current university. I feel so pathetic...Your video has just popped out in fornt of me. It has cheered me up a bit and made me think about my current situation...I still feel miserable, but I hope can become more optimistic and change my attitude towards my life. I do not want to be a burden, a total failure of a human. I have my own dreams but I was never persistent enough. I rejected some opportunities because I was scared... Now I want to start over ...and thank you. You are doing a important work

I cannot explain how much I owe you and this amazing community. After a year of pushing myself to the limit, full of doubts and despair, I was able to change my life completely. By continuously progressing towards my goal of becoming a web developer, I was able to get a job at the beginning of this month in an amazing company. For a year I was doubtful and heartbroken, but by listening to your videos every day, and pushing myself to keep moving forward, now I am in a much better place. Thank you very much for your content. Please never stop. You are changing people's lives. And for those of you out there who are in a dark place, never forget, that after the darkest of nights, the sunrise always comes. Never stop believing in yourselves. You are all precious, and you deserve better. Never give up on your dreams, but work hard on them. KEEP MOVING FORWARD

can you help me, how do you put the things of this video into use regarding academics and things that involve sitting down and studying, learning, focusing ? doesn't this only apply to physical prowess and empowerment?
@mariusspqr9931
@mariusspqr9931 Жыл бұрын
@@Hardeneer Yeah, for sure! As with physical development, the key is to plan ahead everything, taking your time to make sure the best choices are taken, and then just follow it. What is your target? When is the final deadline? When you answer those questions, you have a finish line. Now is time to calculate the amount of time you have left, how are you going to spend that time, and prepare in a realistic way. Start by studying 2h a day everyday, and weekends 1h only, and slowly start adding more and more time, without burning out. That is key. Also, as a small comment, I recommend you watch or read Berserk. Personally I have always felt more inspired and interested in Griffith, as he is the one with a plan and a strategy, with a dream and a goal. Guts is just the perfect worker, as he just grinds, but as a dog, he needs a master to point towards where he is supposed to go. Obviously, in the end, Griffith goes to a limit too Machiavellian, but still, if you analyze both characters, I think you will find inspiration to keep on working. The balance lies between both characters. REMEMBER: BE BETTER THAN YESTERDAY BUT WORSE THAN TOMORROW!

Gravemind, whatever you want to call it, soul, spirituality, true human virtue. Whatever you are, I just want you to know, I've watched your videos daily for a year now, and the past few weeks despite my best efforts I have been in a bit of a rut. Optimistic but feeling down. This video single handedly reinforced many things, and got me immediately back on a path of positivity. Therapy is important for some people I feel, but this media you provide us alone to me, is worth more than any therapy I could ever purchase. I'm truly thankful for you and the mission whatever it may be you have is.

There is not a more powerful force in this world, then what we choose to think about. It is from this energy that all things and possibilities are born from. I feel that our life’s energy is focused into three main categories. Our thoughts can often be scattered but if focused, they will often turn into actions. Our actions if persisted within will turn into beliefs of what one is capable of. Our beliefs will then feed back into our thoughts and the cycle continues. We get to choose if we are going to put a positive or negative input into this machine, that will ultimately shape our lives.
