I think I'm in Self Aware Barbie mode and the description of overuse and burn out is so real. So true dear mina I agree victim story don't define you. I put myself in such situations in past saying I'm weak and can't survive alone and it hurt me. I realized in those extreme moments of darkness not my mom who pampered me so much could save me no one could rescue me. I had to rise I had to be strong....I connected to Allah and I prayed and I cried so hard. Being self aware gives you strength to rise at those difficult times to rise and shine. Yes I had to accept and still learning to accept and use my strength my self awareness my growth my transformation and most importantly my faith in Allah to help me strengthen me and make me rise.

Oh my God, Mina. As oldest daughter, I raise my brother who’s in his 20’s. I’ve stand by the same statement that men teach men. But I’ve had the same observations about the poor quality role models today. I am in the same fight!! For me, part doesn’t know how to but the other part of me Feels this is child under car situation!! I do it for my brother bc it’s the only option!! Hi Mina! Im not victimizing here, it’s just I have felt super overwhelmed. feel like I’m super slow at learning .. If I have to remember a recipe , I’ve got to constantly look at the ticket (I work at a restaurant ) it’s so weird & I feel like my coworkers see that. I tend to take longer to gather my thoughts.. I don’t want to think it’s a learning disability, but I try so hard. I’ve gone to therapy & the therapist just says it’s anxiety & that I’m ok .. but it’s so frustrating. My next step is to read a book that might help with memory, etc .. but do u have any tips?? I want to change my story ❤️

@@Cekatu omg I just read the symptoms: disorganization, lack of focus & forgetfulness! That’s exactly what I struggle with. I consider myself aware & clever, but forgetfulness is big on me.. the therapist was like, “ so what if you do have a mild disorder, that’s not going to change anything, the change is in you, how you perceive it” .. I was like .. I just would feel better getting a diagnosis & learning how I can treat this..

I have ADHD, (never been madicated) and work in a restaurant. I found out that the less hard I work, the best results I get. I also learned to recieve and ask for help. I do everything calmly. I don't know all the recipes and don't try to learned them all. I just ask the cooks for some specific things when I feel like it and with time I learn more and more. Everybody is happy with my performance and the big bosses always count on me with the important tasks.

@@tima1443 It's not that it is a "community", they don't even know I have ADHD, I don't ever mention it bc it is irrelevant. It's just as competitive as any other place, but I am a waitress, not a cook, so slowing down makes easier for me to focus, so I don't get in my own way. It's completely different from what you do. I suggest you to find another job where you can slow down a little bit. Being a line cook is soul draining. In my opinion, only men should take such job. 😥 There's surely something else out there for you. Just keep moving. ❤️
