Paul did that for all new speakers by his competitors mainly they all had Doppler distortion. Most had pretty high distortion, while his Klipschorn Belle Klipsch and La Scalla had extremely low distortion because even at 100 DB levels the diaphragms hardly moved so they stayed in the linear movement of travel.

I bought my first ever HT a month ago. Wanted to enter the space without going to cheap or totally out the world expensive. My setup in a 10X14 room with a 5x5 little window pc nook. Onkyo TX-NR7100 . FL&R RP-6000FII, Center RP-504cII, Side and Rear surrounds 4 RP-500MII’s, Front Height- 2 RP-500saii. I was sent the “RP-1000SW sub. The RP-1000 sub is a beast. You have to unleash it. Do the minus decibel trick on avr about -11.5 - -12 db. Set your SUB at the 2 o clock position and up if you want. Add a Pangea AC-9SE MkII power cord. The sub hits deep. It’s response is truly incredible.. I’ve hated Klipsch subs for a very long time. This line is straight up all sound. The sub never try’s to keep up , it’s ahead of the game. @@mpitogo1978 yeah what we did in the store was long XLR all the way to the subs which are about 50 foot runs and then converted to unbalanced at that point. Worked out well and we don’t have any noise. It would certainly be nice to have XLR’s. Pretty weird.
@thomasc1753 Жыл бұрын
The XLR input would only matter with an incredibly long run. There's no scientific benefit to using XLRs in a home theater. Even in massive homes where the equipment would be away requiring long runs, the RCA cabling would be fine. Just run RG6 and terminate into RCA. Also, any processor today will offer both and, if not, there are adapters.

Not a single issue with over 200 installed and sold. Huge improvements on these new units. Also, one of the best warranties at five years. We also check the signal quality on every installation. For both to have an issue at the same time, I would say it’s likely that the signal is clipping. Grab an oscilloscope and check for clipping once you get the units fixed. the design is not elegant, they made them more wider than necessary instead of taller, which takes up more precious floor space in many typical homes, bad for WAF. Klipsch always has been boasting the performance of their subwoofer performance. Is this going to be exception?
@DivineAV Жыл бұрын
The subwoofers are not really that much wider at all. We are talking 2 to 3 inches. I don’t think anyone is going to miss that. They are deeper which is what I think you mean. But that doesn’t really cause an issue in most rooms. Most rooms are never going to miss an extra 4 or 5 inches of depth. If that makes a big difference in the space, the space is clearly way too small for a large subwoofer. The height is almost identical. That’s great to see because that means that people with projection screens will not have to run the screens overly high. Thanks for watching and we appreciate your input!

Taller doesn’t always work well for home home theater with projection. It forces the screen higher or requires people to move the subs outward, therefore corner loading more than desired. If running the units in the front of the room, when in the seated position, they will be less obtrusive to the eye. They are thinking outside the box. Also, keep in mind, one of the most powerful positions is running the subwoofers on the left and right of the room facing each other instead of the audience. Check them out in person. Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to comment! Take care!
