To make things even more interesting, a video game styled like anime. I can't explain why, but I just can't bring myself to watch anime. I lose interest in it after the first five episodes. Joe deserves more love. Joe is the best. I love Joe. One day, my boyfriend is going to hear me constantly talk about Joe. Just shows that Joe's rather selfless, since he was willing to die for them. Even though you could see towards the end that he was panicking about the execution, he still tries to stay calm just to try and keep everyone else relaxed (But, as we see from Sara, the sacrifice had after-effects

@@tobiasc1920 it’s the logic route because you’re picking between sou/kanna based on either logic or emotions. sou is vital to escape, with his computer skills and whatnot, hence why it’s logical to save him. kanna is a young girl who we all love, ergo saving her based on emotions. personally, i saved sou because i too wanted to prove his 0.0% chance wrong, and i simply love him too much even though i care for kanna too

This is legitimately sad and touching. The creator is a very good writer. He very cleverly weaved the narrative and the game play so your choices are as hard for you as it is for Sara. Then seeing how Sara break down for Joe (Who she was traumatized by since she indirectly got him killed by revealing he was the sacrifice.), the player can empathize with her, as she is actually living this. She is the true one suffering and cracking. Then come to find out that the AI Joe (Who isn't really Joe but might as well be) truly doesn't hate her for her sacrifice. Something that was tearing her apart for the entire Chapter. Give this man millions.

This is why Kanna's route is my favourite. Sure, you get a lot of interesting stuff in Shin's, I can't wait to see where his revenge plot leads and if Evil Sara will fully surface... but 2-2's conclusion is so much more satisfying when you vote for Shin imo, both for Sara and for Shin. Sara finally realised that hallucination Joe was just a manifestation of her own misplaced guilt and self-loathing. The way his AI echoed his last words to her shows that those were his true feelings. The real Joe never once blamed her, and that realisation set her free. As for Shin, after hiding his true self behind the "Sou" facade for so long (one Kanna had already started to crack), he finally realised that it didn't work. Perhaps even regretted being an asshole to everyone. And then his final act was one of the kindest things anyone has done in the entire game. He went out of his way to help Sara overcome her guilt, just as he went out of his way to keep Kanna safe. That is the real Shin Tsukimi. Also evidenced by the scarf symbolism: when he died, he no longer had the scarf. Sou's scarf. It's also great to watch Kanna's development from the kid who wanted to die and was easily manipulated to someone actually willing to stand up for herself, who has hope for the future. Idk, sorry for this rant, but I love this game lmao

@found the change name option lol its confirmed that it was the floor masters who put the card on joe to kill him..in chapter 3b midori said that they killed joe on purpose so that sara will lose confidence. Also sou didn't specifically said that he put the card to make joe pick it up.

This is legitimately the only scene in gaming that makes me cry every time I see it. I've cried in games a lot, but this scene is the only one that I've cried during every single playthrough when I get to this scene. I've played the same two routes over and over again just because I love this scene and I don't have the heart to kill Kanna. If I do play the Sou lives route, I have to skip this and just start from the chapters menu because I can't do the malicious AI after seeing this scene.

Even though I got the Sou route, and maintain my stance that it is superior to the Kanna route... this scene here... I couldn’t help but break down into tears. Being tormented by the Joe hallucination all throughout Chapter 2, honestly made me forget what the real Joe was really like, I even started believing that he really did die hating Sara. Then, I see this scene play out for the first time, and I’m reminded of who Joe truly was, and why I loved him so much in the first chapter. He was just a big-hearted, optimistic, loveable goofball who never turned his back on his best friend. That’s who Joe really was, and I was happy that Sara could be reminded of that and receive the closure she needed. Truly bittersweet that this is what Sou dedicated his last few living moments to, ensuring that the one who saved the life of his younger sister wouldn’t have to continue being plagued by horrifying images of her own creation.

I looked up YTTD stuff as soon as I finished the game and when I found out this happens if you picked Sou I reaaaaaally regretted picking Kanna. This is such an amazing scene and it's upsetting that not everyone will see it on their playthrough. Sara finally confronting the hallucination and finding the courage to move forward with everyone is waaaaaay better than her just forgetting about Joe.
