I started watching hololive after sana graduation, but the sonic stream is very interesting. I do hope she is healthy because I did some checking that said she graduated because of health problem.

It is nice to see more positive vtuber news. It is admittedly necessary to cover some of the more important and truly dark stuff that goes on despite how horrible it can be, but I really dislike how often petty personal drama gets the spotlight. We don't need to hear about every talent's personal spats, dirty little secrets, etc. Corporate exploitation and corruption on the other hand does need to be exposed despite how sickening it is, but multi month long witch hunts over stuff like a talent's imploding marriage etc. just don't belong plastered all over social media.

​@@b_radbrad8899 I get you. A lot of us only know Ame the idol, who could only act within the rules of hololive. Now with dooby were seeing more of her irl personality and interests. And yeah... I don't know how I feel about it yet. But I hope she can stay motivated as an indie. Rooting for her! But like, if Biboo went back to her PL and started cussing up a storm. I don't think I'd enjoy her content nearly as much.

What makes me notice these graduations and redebuts is that the pace of work at Hololive is more strict and heavy than I imagined. They prefer to work at their own pace.

She needed this. When they started, they had a lot of freedom to play any game they could and use their creativity on any stream (Imo, Ame's forte). Now, they need a lot of paperwork and permissions to be able to play certain games which felt like shackles to someone who was so creative. i believe this is also the same reason that Aqua left, she is a well known gamer and having Games she actually wants to play be rejected over and over (as what suisei said) compared to when she started back in 2018. the threat of being "cancelled" because they play a game because its "political" , "violent" , "explicit" in content and wouldnt pass the staffs approval probably felt like they kept walking on eggshells. as long as the Operators are Happy with their lives~ i Support it! (also please support SANA!!! @notnamie along with Dooby)

Hi sorry for the late response! There isn't any real drama surrounding hololive that I know of, but it looks like some Holomems are looking to go indie and have gone indie due to disagreements with their contracts and/or creative differences. I hope this helps clarify some things :3

I’m glad that so many talents from H***live are still thriving afterwards. Namie, Dooby, Rica, Sakuna, Kson are all better off indie(in my opinion). They get the freedom to make their own schedules, and alter them however they like, while not having to worry about inconveniencing a big company behind them. Not saying this as if vtuber agencies are bad, but they’re a business and that obviously comes with expected criteria that must be met with events and content you’re expected to participate in that could quickly lead to burnout.

it's a problem with every company that's getting too big (for you) and now have a lot of processes involved. sometimes you just wake up with the most brilliant idea on saturday morning and want to stream it but getting the idea approve will take you until next 2 months because the idea is too wild and they dont want to risk it. staying in this kind of environment is not good for your creative freedom and it's not the company fault either after so many holo incidents that happened over years that they want to play it safe.
