Why the change to NLT? I would like to know and understand.

Hey there! Pastor has used the NLT in the past as a complement to his teaching through the NASB. The reasons he has given for why he likes the NLT in the past are the language being engaging and slightly modernized without going overboard. Since he has been teaching out of the NASB for roughly 45 years, I would be surprised if we didn't still see some of that as a way to compare a verse's composition or clear up the occasional question about a translation. We still fully support the reading of the NASB. It's a solid translation.

@BellevueMemphis thank you. I knew pastor Steve from Gardendale and sat under his teaching then and was curious.
