Life is an adventure, but it definitely has its ups and downs. When you’re in those low moments it can feel like you are stuck in a pit or that life just hasn’t gone your way. In this message, we look at Jonah chapter 2 and learn from Jonah’s prayer to God when he was in a pit and a definite low point... like the bottom of the ocean low. Thank you for sharing these helpful insights from Jonah. I think Jonah shares an uncanny resemblance with the prodigal son. Jonah attempts to flee from God like the prodigal son tries to run from his father. Jonah sits in the stench of the belly of a fish. The prodigal son sits in the stench of a pig pen. They both reeked of failure and feces. They both repented in the pit of their despair.
