THEY DON'T WANT TO SELL HIM. they put ridiculous price tag on him so that it would ward off buyers. it is not because pf overhype or anything it is because they don't want to sell him. if they do get the money then it is the buyer's fault for being so desperate.

Players could easily end the inflation by not signing long contracts or renewals. From the players perspective he could :a) cost 50m and earn 100k a week. Or b) Be a free transfer and earn 200k a week.

Nasri was well worth 30m back then easy. He would have deserved a 60m fee in todays market in his prime. I would have personally gone with Alex Song for Arsenal. £20m back in 2012 is about 50m now and he was a very average holding mid.
