I will always chose Walmart Spark over Amazon Flex and the main reason is Spark providing us all of the information (miles, # of deliveries, etc.) before accepting the offer. The pay is pretty much similar in my area but the info really puts it over the top for me.

I love Amazon flex I did a 3 hour shift from 7pm-10pm and I finished at 8pm for $84!!
@Joe_334 Жыл бұрын
My first block had to be cancelled because the app was having problems. They were about to give me a three hour block with only twelve packages, for $75. I was so mad when the app wouldn't let me past the package scan page. The next day, an amazon employee told me that they were having issues with the app not letting flexers start blocks. It was an easy block too compared to the batch orders with Spark. Guaranteed pay, and a route vs. Spark coming out of the shadows with unpredictable batch orders...

I work for Amazon Flex and in my area I got a shift for $80 for four hours. It was for 47 deliveries which sounds bad, but most of my deliveries were walking distance from each other because of them being apartments. In the end, it only took me an hour and 40 minutes for a four hour shift and I still got paid the full amount. Total miles driven was 19.

Only do Flex if you love putting a lof of wear and tear on your vehicle. Flex often requires a lot of stop and startup cycles which will quickly wear out your starter and engine.

But why would u turn off your car just to walk up and drop off a package at a door? Even if you have to walk around in apartment building or business, just leave it on. No one’s gonna do anything to your car lol
@zarbon700 Жыл бұрын
@@triiipleog The main issue with Flex is the high miles driven to complete a shift. Depending on the area you're sent to, leaving a running car, especially one that doesn't have push start, with many packages puts you at a higher risk of someone stealing your car or packages.

That is why I do not take routes in the hood or in big city metros. My flex routes have been in upper middle class and affluent suburbs and that is the way I intend to keep it. Sure it is slightly more miles per se, but I can leave my car running to drop a package off at the door and stroll back. My SSD pickup center is in the suburbs although there are logistics closer to the city, but on the rough side of town. Although it is 10 minutes closer to me I avoid like it the black death plague and for good reason.

Flex gives you the option of next day pay so you’ll always have money in your pocket, but yes a lot more driving compared to Spark. Spark pays once a week and wait times have gotten a bit longer, but less driving than Flex. I personally bounce back and forth between both daily so it’s hard for me to pick one over the other

I have had times where I've had to return packages on Walmart Spark; once a no tip customer was playing games on me; another time the business was closed and had delivery instructions to only deliver on weekdays; and another time the customer was unreachable and it was a large office building with no unit instructions. You only get $2.50 extra if you have to return to the Walmart but you can often get another run once you return which makes it a wash. Walmart has had a very hot and cold environment for pay but you can often get a good estimate once you have experience under your belt. Not sure how some people take some offers without bonus pay like the Sam's Club 3+ stop afternoon routes. Have taken some shorter routes which has just been worthwhile when they were running $15 per run incentives. Don't like that I can be sent to rural areas on Flex; and the pay to drive home after that last stop which can be an hour away, can not be there.

Amazon is great until it isn’t! Some routes are so worth it, maybe even most have been hoo. But then access issues in apartments and having to return the packages miles away that can be tough

I would say lately I've been finishing right on time, 37 packages this morning. I used to finish about an hr early. But also I've been getting over booked a lot lately, with no route available and getting paid for just showing up! So it evens out, I'm in the Dallas-Fort Worth Area.

Brooooo, awesome video. I just got signed up for Amazon flex and wow are the offers low. No way I could make enough money to make it worth it on the base pay trips. Walmart spark on the other hand, as you said, you have to be thrifty somewhat depending on how busy the stores are but seem to get way better offers but again this is just day one but of all the offers on flex I wouldn't take one of them so far.

If I’m making 5 hours block, usually it takes 2:30-3hours. Never turning off my car, no seatbelt (that’s bad, but this frequents stops eating my time) and lanyard for my phone. And ofc Im organizing my packages in my car in alphabetical order, so Im already knowing where is my next package.

@brandonohara4122 Жыл бұрын
Spark is better than amazon flex and its not even close. People don't factor in that when you do Amazon flex, you have to not only drive to the warehouse but also drive home whenever you deliver your last package. Last time I did Amazon flex, I drove about 15 minutes to the warehouse, then another 45 minutes to my 1st stop, then another 45 minutes home after I delivered my last package. I'm pretty sure they factor in driving to your 1st stop as part of your block but definitely not driving to the warehouse or driving home so that added an extra hour to my shift that day. Of course theres times where you get a good route but its too much of a gamble for me. I obviously only can speak for my market. South of me they have amazon fresh which i hear are really good and i wish they had that where I live. Shipt would be good too.

I live in New Mexico and tried Amazon Flex..my biggest issue was that I drive a sports car (which is of course some of the info they ask for when you sign up) and they had me deliver to communities in the mountains.. rough, dirt roads that my car could not handle but didn't know that's where they were sending me until I'm at the warehouse to pick up the order.. That was a huge downfall to Amazon Flex for me and I couldn't destroy my car doing deliveries for them anymore
@lazhun4574 Жыл бұрын
30 min waiting time? In Clarksville TN you will have to wait sometimes 45min to 1 hr. Yes they can see you in their system when you pull into their parking lot. They will tell you that you are not checked in. Yes of course they will say it is a glitch in the app but it is really about their metric. When they are shorthanded can't get the orders out in time they want you to cancel or they will do it for you. The other major issue here there are evil drivers in Clarksville hacking the app ,stealing good paying offers and stop other drivers to get them. They are using the bot system. My friend got deactivated because someone used her account. After 3 months they reactivated her because they realized that they were wrong. Same thing happened to me. They deactivated me saying I am doing the hacking. I would never do this to other drivers.
