As someone who has only been playing MLB the Show ever since it came out on Xbox, it's crazy how much of a difference it is to just sit back and be patient. I'm not gonna lie, I will even sometimes keep taking until 2 strikes even online just so I can read pitches, see their tendencies, and get their pitch count higher. People will eventually get impatient or make a mistake and give you good, or better pitches to hit. It was really hard, but becoming patient changed everything for me so much.

Wanted to add this too since he was talking about Devin Williams at the end but does anyone else struggle seeing Circle Changeups ? That's the hardest pitch for me in the game. I swing at those way too much when they are a ball. It could be any other pitch and it won't fool me as bad lol

Definitely need Jeter. Sosa is just okay. A decent option for now, but I suspect he will be obsolete in a month. Jeter with the glove skills has the potential to go very deep. I found a nice hidden gem hit producer in Stan Musial. Guy is nothing but a hit. I've also noticed balls bouncing off my players head on hard hit balls to the wall like that. Never had it happen until recently though. Wonder if they upped the chances of that happening?

@@charles1531 Griffey is a great card. Bats left handed too. I've never played with the Trout. I have the Live version, but never used him. David Justice is also a really good card that you can get relatively cheap.

Not sure what Sammy is missing outside of contact vs left. He's essentially maxed vs right with elite diamond fielding and very good speed. I think he'll survive Set 2 at the very least. It feels like people just don't like the swing more than anything. I had that problem at first but have hit better with him as I've played more.

@@CryptoPowell You're right. His swing is not very good. The attributes are only part of it when it comes to players that are good. At least for me anyway. Sammy is playable though. He's not a bad card by no means. That McGwire is complete trash though 😂 That swing is horrendous. And he's tall with a huge strike zone.
