The rule is simple: there must be a strong ending when the adjective comes before the noun. Why was it so hard from grammars and other teachers to say it plainly? Hahah... Thank you so much, Luzi!

This is my first YT comment ever. It just means that I found this video so helpful. I had been banging my head on adjectives since a long time. A simple search on YT led me to you and has changed my life. For the first time, I was able to fill the correct endings without looking up different tables. I cannot say about other topics since I have just seen this video. But I can only assume that they will be equally good.

Ich denke es ist einfach unmöglich, alle diese Deklinationen zu benützen, ohne die Gründe und das System wirklich zu verstehen. Es ist sehr schlecht, wenn wir ein Buch lesen und es einfach die Tabellen zeigt. Man denkt dass er die gesamte Tabelle schmücken soll und wird wirklich traurig. Diese Erklärung war sehr gut, danke schön!!!

So i watched all these 5 videos, each video for at least 2 times( to really understand )and then finally I got to this summarized system video, I can still find some points that i missed from the previous videos, so I went back to watch other 4 videos again, and always picked up what I missed before. Amazing, I have to say this channel is the best! When I take a walk on the street, i could try to think about the video and make myself some example sentence to practice. Those videos are much better than the private classes that I took before with my teacher😅

I don't usually finish German learning videos even if it's less than 10mins, not because I am Board but because it doesn't sink in my head and I don't find it helpful. But then again I tried to watch this, at first I said to myself maybe it will help. And when I heard the "Mega Chart" I can't find myself smiling and laughing instead of worrying and shivering. I would like to add one more trick here: Ques: which weak verb to use? “e” or “en”? Ans: when the article is in nominative = use ending “e” When article is declinised ( or changed because of verb/prep) = use ending “en”.

The initial example you gave for the endings around 3:45, I kinda wasn't getting until you finished, and I realized that I learned it a different way: "Das ist ein neuER Computer", the "ein" doesn't tell you what gender it is - it could be male or neuter. So if you add an adjective, THAT'S what needs to show what gender the word actually is. z.B: "Das ist ein Haus." (Could be male or neuter...) aber: "Das ist ein weißES Haus." (now we're sure it's neuter.) Hausaufgabe: Ich esse gerne zarten Hackbraten mit roter Soße.

Just found this excellent video. Vielen Dank! But I have a question: how come den and die are considered strong endings “starke Endungen” and yet -en and -e are considered weak endings “schwache Endungen”? Is the answer that -en and -e are only weak endings when they are not preceded by d and di? In other words do den and die have strong endings but einen/meinen/keinen/deinen and eine/keine/meine/deine have weak endings?
