Watching Oliver treat you with respect and come on set as himself instead of his character shows how much admiration he has for Danny. This is one of the 1st Pods I've seen Oliver sit down as a friend & fan. Kudos to you Danny for getting him to be himself for the viewers. Y'all some real ones!

The character is also a marketing strategy. But I also think he let's it down when he's more comfortable or if the bit just wouldn't be right for a particular conversation. Like he could probably be real with Bobby and Santino, but they're super playful anyways so the character fits right in with them.

I learn so much watching Danny. Hearing him mention even just going on reddit to learn stuff got me all happy like "Me too Danny!" And yea to what you said it takes a lot of pressure off. I look up to these guys and others as if it's all easy street to them sometimes and forget we only see the final product.

biggest word of advice: Don't make anything pop related. The same type of pop, more or less, has been mainstream since 97. People are getting sick of it, just like the same recycled hip hop (rap numbers are declining in the charts) It will die soon. Be RAW and ORIGINAL.

It's incredible that more people don't know that Oliver Tree is a piece of shit. Someone remixed one of his songs and it did so well that Oliver Tree ripped it off 1:1 and released it under his own name, telling the other artist to essentially fuck off. Song is called "Miss You" by southstar, there are videos and articles detailing what Oliver did

@@linkinparkblink182ro well for one that album has some gems to be appreciated. May not be everyone's cup of tea but some solid songs and production nonetheless. Also they both have a great range of varying pitches in their singing or rapping. It could end up terrible but with time and effort, little experimenting in the studio... It could work 🤷🏼

I've never personally gravitated towards Oliver's style of music but always admired him and this convo makes me respect him so much more. A lot of stuff you guys said in this episode really clicked with me as someone who's coming to terms with addictive genes and more than ever trying to nurture my creativity. This show has made me smile a lot and also seeing Danny's life change throughout the course of it has really shifted my perspective. This was exactly what I needed right now fr though genuinely thank you to Danny and the people involved with this show. Would also love to see Jane Remover on the show 🙏
