Many people speak about the "arrogance" of us Americans. It's not arrogance, it's pride in who we are and what we stand for. We're by no means perfect, but we are predominantly good, honorable, and caring people. Thank you for your video!

This was an awesome video, but you REALLY need to watch the interview of Jessica Buchanan! She goes in to details about their kidnapping, and the several months they spent being held hostage. The description of how the S.E.A.L.s rescued her from her point of view is well worth the watch.

It's probably too long for them to do a video with but I agree. Parts of this isn't accurate. Her talking about what happened is pretty emotional and not the same as it was told in this video. It is totally worth watching.

I've been a security contractor overseas for quite a number of years. I had a Project Manager who was retired from ST6. What an amazing individual he is. The training he gave us quite literally save some of our lives and that of our client. Nothing that he was forbidden to teach, but still above our level of previous training. He is a leader, a professional, a mentor, and I am honored to, to this day, call him my friend, as we communicate relatively often. Those men, along with their brothers in Delta, continue to do things in the middle of the night that we almost never hear about, while the rest of us sleep soundly in our beds. My profound salute and respect to these men.

A very good friend of mine was a member of Seal Team 6 for 20 years. He will always be a SEAL, and he loved it. But he will also always carry physical and emotional scars for the rest of his life. If anyone remembers the old guy Rudy on Survivor, that is who trained him. Rudy, at 60 years old, did everything he demanded them to do, and if they messed up and had to do it over again, Rudy would do it over again too. He was a tough old guy. My friend cried when he passed from Alzheimer's a few years back.

FYI: Seal Teams as well as other Special Forces will rescue allied citizens when asked. Especially from the "5-Eyes" - USA, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. They are considered our closest allies. However, New Zealand also has one of the best Special Forces in the world, so we would just be asked to back them up or maybe assist in transport. But other than that, New Zealand soldiers are damn good.

I can never restrain the tears when she's given the American flag and welcomed home. A tangible representation of your country that you can touch and hold onto, at a time when, emotionally, you must almost be numb. If you can actually feel anything I imagine it would be joy and hope, mixed with terror. Just as she feared more pirates would come and take her, it was probably a very long time before she felt truly safe.

Being an an American also means that I'm given the honor to protect those that don't have to live under my flag but simply value the same thing as us. That is peace and equality. Unfortunately that requires violence byen like me to step in to create that so bad men don't rob you're beautiful family or mine of just that. It may not make much sense to you or your family but I would gladly lay my life down to protect you and yours. If something unfortunate we're to happen to me. They would understand and be proud. 2 of the best Navy Seal stories or moments in my opinion are Lone Survivor and American Sniper. Lone Survivor is about a Seal Team of 4 people get brutally ambushed with only 1 member making it out alive. They made a movie about it. Then the most well known is American Sniper which is about the worlds best sniper on the seals that had the most confirmed kills. It’s sad because he retires to spend more time with his family only to lose his life at a firing range where he helped teach disabled kids to shoot.

@@darthrevan1712 you are correct on both counts. Chris Kyle was the best sniper in *American* history and died at a firing range trying to help a fellow veteran. He has 160 confirmed kills out of his 255 claimed. Simo Hayha, a Finnish sniper during the Winter War in 1939 is credited with being the "world's best" in terms of kill count, over 500.

I think we (US population) forget that actual men and women make up the military. We have to ask ourselves, "Can I do what they do?". I'm grateful to have those men and women serving. I wish our country did a better job at taking care of our military men and women when they come back home

My high school sweetheart, and still my best friend to this day, is a U.S. Marine who served in Iraq. He saw and experienced things during the war that he still doesn't talk about. He's the best human I know, and I'm immensely proud of him and feel incredibly lucky to know him.

Lately my algorithm has been putting these type of videos in my feed and let me just say, watching your family’s reaction to the good of America brings tears to my eyes. Our country is so up its own ass with make believe problems and people trying to tear it apart, seeing the appreciation of our core values warms my heart. We are not perfect, our goverment doesn’t represent the people but actions like this and countless others represent the PEOPLE, of our great country. We are good, and just no matter what labels and make believe issues are pushed. As an American thank you for reminding people how outstanding the good we do is. And also your kids are smarter than most of our Ivy League grads because they have common sense.

9:14 you've nailed it on the head. America sends in rescue teams when it's "higher percentage of success" otherwise it can be pretty long before anything happens. We've had kidnapped citizens in China, Russia, and North Korea and we haven't gone to get them. We have however sent our own military to their deaths and traded valuable prisoners for rescuing US citizens who were traitors to the country or just being stupid (bowe bergdahl, brittney griner), those times are always controversial.

2:01 the faces that were blurred out are those Seals that were still operational when the video was made. the military doesn't want their identity to be leaked out incase they are or might do missions in other countries.

Within days they had actionable intel on how many people were in the compound(s) and when it was best to execute. They also had multiple teams training and seal team six came out with the best outcome so they were selected. The covered faces are because those members are either still active or play a major role in training active service members and their identity needs to be kept safe.

This country has gone through far too much to ever give in or surrender. Men died bravely while building and protecting this country long before this country would ever love and respect them. Despite all of faults and all of the division. One thing will always ring true to us. We are the Home of the Brave Questioning that is not going to benefit anyone.

Story you might want to see is movie “Sully” starring Tom Hanks. Based on a true story. On January 15, 2009, flock of Canadian geese flew into both engines of passenger jet about 5 minutes after takeoff. They lost both engines & were trying to make it to an airport for an emergency landing. They couldn’t make it to an airport & pilot Sully Sullenberger landed plane safely in Hudson River that runs through New York City. As frigid icy water began to seep into plane, flight crew began evacuating everyone onto wings of plane to await rescue. Tugboats, ferries, & port authority boats with assistance from police scuba teams rescued all 155 passengers & flight crew alive with minor injuries within 24 minutes. It got the nickname ‘Miracle on the Hudson.’ FYI, National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) investigates all plane, train, & bus crashes in the U.S. They were skeptical that plane lost both engines almost at the same time & initially believed pilot & copilot made errors which may have contributed to crash. NTSB removed plane wreckage from river & took it to a local warehouse to examine. They ran numerous simulations of crash which incorrectly indicated plane could have crash landed at a local airport. When 1 engine was recovered, it clearly showed it wasn’t pilot error & engine failures were caused by geese & plane couldn’t have made it to any airport. Movie isn’t available for free online, but are several places where it can be watched for $3.99 on youtube. There are several movie clips on youtube that show pieces of movie. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sully_(film)
