Participating in Newark's art programs, she began her artistic journey by creating murals for churches and painting holiday scenes on storefronts, developing a love for visual storytelling. Her skills were further refined at Arts High, the nation's first visual and performing arts high school, and later at the Philadelphia College of Art, where she embraced abstract expressionism. Her work, which contributed to Philadelphia's urban revitalization through murals, eventually led her to California, where she became part of its thriving artist community.
In 1984, meeting her husband Michael marked the beginning of a new personal and creative phase. However, a diagnosis of Lupus significantly impacted her life and work. Despite the challenges, art remained her sanctuary and a means for collaboration, leading to the establishment of the Jordan Design Network. Residing in New Jersey with her family, she continues to explore and share the resilience of the human spirit and the power of art, inviting others to join her in celebrating collective expression and personal perseverance.
