Another Boudica stan 🫡 Dreaming The Hound is, yet again, a heartbreaker for sure! I definitely know what you mean regarding Westerns, however I respect McMurtry enormously and think he writes with a massive element of honestly regarding these subjects. Thanks for the shoutout, hope you enjoy reading some Iggulden! Ed

It's just the most amazing series!! I want everyone to know about it! Thanks for the reassurance re Lonesome Dove - I've heard universally positive things. Yes I'm sure I will enjoy Iggulden 😊 No worries for the shout out 👍🏻

I hope you enjoy all of your new books! I need to read more Daphne Du Maurier after loving rebecca as well. Hehe so many series. I have read the first book in the Scythe series! And I really enjoyed the love hypothesis by ali hazelwood. I still need to get around to the rest of her books but she is a good writer. I remember reading the silence of the girls and really liking it too, although I haven't read more since (and that was a while ago for me too now!). I recently hauled in a copy of my friends as well because of both the libya setting and the reviews being so good. Great haul!

I've heard great things about the Shauna Lawless series! I loved Rebecca but haven't read any of the author's other books, so I'm definitely interested to hear how she handles a different genre.

I am also reading The Temple of Fortuna, the last book in the Wolf Den trilogy at the moment. It's SO good!!! I enjoyed the first book but the second and third are totally awesome. I hope you are enjoying them too. Happy New Year, Sarah!

@YourTrueShelf aww. Yes, the volcano part is what I am reading now. Will probably finish the book tonight or tomorrow morning. I can't wait for her new book coming out later this year!

Oh gosh you are such a better mom than me...I never read the book first before my son and have been in some tricky situations because of it!!! 😂 The Chronicles Of Whetherwhy sounds like it would be up my kiddo's alley. And that Daphne de Maurier book sounds INCREDIBLE!

Ahhh not at all, I read them first as I like middlegrade and they were either not born yet or too young when I first got the books 😂 I also love reading classic children's books eg can't wait to read the secret garden with them 😊

I'm interested in how you find House on The Strand because I haven't read it since I was a teenager but I still have vivid memories of parts of it. Yay Lonesome Dove! I'm always surprised by how big it is because I wish it was longer.

@@YourTrueShelf No but I have the prequel. Most people seem to think them unnecessary but I know Summer from Sterling Reads thinks Comanche Moon is her favourite. I will eventually read them all I think. LD is about old guys, I like them as old guys.

I don’t think you need to reread silence of the girls to read women of Troy.
