YourView Ladies Reacts To City Of David Pastor Alledged Suspension Over Wife's 60th Birthday

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has suspended Pastor Idowu Iluyomade, the Senior Pastor of the City of David parish.
The Nation reports that Iluyomade who is also the head of the Apapa Family of the RCCG, was suspended over the weekend.
Iluyomade was said to have been suspended for three months by the church's Governing Council while a panel has also been set up to investigate some of the allegations against him and the parish.
A top pastor in the church said the decision to suspend Iluyomade was a response to the public outcry against the extravagant birthday party his wife, Siju Iluyomade, threw shortly after the death of a prominent member of the church and former CEO of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe.
Iluyomade has since been replaced by Pastor Charles Kpandei of RCCG Resurrection Parish of Region 11 of the church. Kpandei resumed at the City of David on Sunday, June 2 and was said to have been given a cold welcome.
The name of the RCCG parish is City of David, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Any time Wigwe was in town, you must have seen him in church on Sunday. He does not miss it.

Nothing justifies such insensitive, flamboyant and un-Christlike party. The death of a man, wife and son is saddened enough for his pastor's wife to forgo birthday . They can give to charity without any birthday party. Inviting a sinner as an artist and dancing with all joy simply tells it all that the pastor can be less spiritual than their member.

We are not judging anyone! Even with the massive outreach, it became insignificant because of the lavish birthday party with so much pomp and pageantry. The late Herbert Wigwe was not an insignificant member of the Parish but a man who contribute hugely in cash and kind to ensure the smooth running of the Parish. Three lives perished in one day and all you could was because they had postponed twice prior they couldn't afford to postpone again abi? Let's bring back our humanity where we cared for and about each other. We are enjoined as follows of Jesus Christ to mourn with those who mourn. So in the case of the Iluyomades, what happened?
