I am legitimately really sad right now. His documentary aired a short while ago too. RIP to a true LEGEND of wrestling, a guy who entertained generations and generations of people during his in-ring years and well beyond. I wish I had gotten to meet him at some point. I think the guy who asked Khos if Hulk Hogan never came to New York or if Vince McMahon Jr did take over the territories would America still have the territory system today is a bit like saying if JFK wasn’t killed in Dallas would America spent as long as they did in Vietnam? From watching Iron Sheik’s A&E Biography he had to overcome some big obstacles in his life from his drug addiction, financial problems, his wife leaving him over his addiction to cocaine and crack and worse of all the murder of his 27 or 29 year old daughter who was murdered by her abusive boyfriend who strangled her to death when she broke up with him.
