Taeyong has a lovely voice. Wish he would sing more. I bought the “Long Flight” single which he composed himself as soon as it came out. TY’s such a talented all-rounder: he sings, raps, dances, writes songs, great visual, fashionista, great leader. He’s a caring guy, has good heart, is animal-lover etc. Is there anything that he can’t do? Love this guy! 2020 has been quite an awful year for him. I've been thinking for some time that, as an artist, taeyong is in transition. My sense is that he was channeled into a Main Rapper cause, of course, he excels at it & has the swag to pull it off. But it may also have been that SM sought an electrifying new rapper to front NCT (it already HAD too many good singers to fully feature them) But while Mark truly IS all about rap & continues to refine his rap artistry, it seems thesedays like taeyong is confined by rap and restless with the form. As he matures artistically, taeyong has become more melodic. In his personal vlive playlist he explores indy songwriters retro influences & soft rock. It's also increasingly clear that what he really wants now is....to sing. We KNOW Taeyong HAS a unique attractive voice & he trained as a singer as a rookie. But since then, he's had so few chances to share his singing or hone it to his high level of rap & dance performance. I think he knows his voice so song presentation is what he's working through in vlive offerings like this. By giving him positive feedback when we LIKE what he shows us, we can help Taeyong find his voice.
