What were a few of the main reasons you upgraded to the AV 7706? I own the AV 7705 and I have looked at its successor and I must say outside of the HDMI upgrade to the latest version of HDCP I was not real interested. The additional upgrades are not widely available yet if at all. I didn't see much that was melting my butter. Or, did you just upgrade for the channel and to stay relevant?
@Youthman3 жыл бұрын
It was mainly for the channel. If you have the AV7705, you won’t hear any significant difference in the AV7706. The AV7706 just better future proof although 8K is still a LONG way off.

Great update! I have a question for you, what is your opinion on using the latest Klipsch, La Scalas for LCR, behind the screen, and also along with them, using Cornwells that would be mounted just over the LaScalas, not touching them. I will be using SVS PB16 ultra subs 6 of them behind the screen, 2 double stack each, on each side of the center channel, 1 sub on far left, and far right of the LR’s. For my rear setup, LR using LaScalas and Cornwell double stacked not touching each other, with two more SVS PB16 subs on the inside of rear LR. I will be using Atmos, front and rear height, and side speakers. Be using extra amps, by Klipsch to power whats needed. My theater room will be 21’ feet by 30’ feet +, with 12’ ceilings. Is there a way to dial in those speakers to blend with each other? This is in the planning stage at the moment, theater will be a dedicated one.

Yes, I mentioned that in the post. New HT Tour is long overdue. It’s been over a year and sooooo much has changed. How do you want to meet up for lunch? Would you see an 85 inch lcd tv, as a down-grade from a projector, and screen? For I used to have a projector in my basement, that was an older 1080p optoma projector, that worked out well for gaming/ movies… but as I am sitting here, I am starting to think it may make more sense to hold off buying a display, for my new home theater, and go with a projector as opposed to a tv… so I just wanted to ask you, here my room is coming along well, where we have the speakers each wired, and ready for their installation, once we finish painting the room, which will all be black…

Other than the new controls and their placement, deeper storage compartments in the armrests and the sheen of the leather from satin to gloss black what other differences did you noticed about them when comparing the two? I do realize the back row is their console edition however the make of those seats represent version 2.0 while your seats along the front are version 1.0 of the Tuscany series. Love your setup, really awesome actually as you can tell it's all you. This wasn't done professional that someone dumped big money into. It actually is inspiring. Question, if it's a 2:35 screen how does that work with 1:85.1 movies?

Thank you. This video shows how I handle different aspect ratios - kzbin.info/www/bejne/gKPCdGmbqZtpi6c

Using Klipsch heritage with class A/B amps can be harsh sounding. I own Klipschorns, speak from experience. Using tubes... that's where the magic is! How does movies sound on Klipsch La Scalas with that monolith amp?

I'm in the planning stages of my build. 16ft wide by 24ft deep room. I'll be 15 feet from the screen and was going to do a 135" 16:9 which I thought was "correct". What's the viewing angle with your setup from the front seats?

Very nice Youthman. Doesn't your Marantz processor need cooling too though? I see you moved the fan to the power amps.
