I have the 1723 Tower S and regular 1723 Center for my LCR. I'm very happy with them. The sound is amazing. I hope the production of the 1528 line doesn't turn out to be a huge miscalculation on Arendal's part. Many of the comments say how it's far out of their price range. It's possible the 1723's fell in to the "I can barely afford this much but I'll do it anyways" price range for most people. $4,250 for Arendal 1723 LCR was way more than I should have spent in the first place. Even If I could afford the 1528's, not sure I would buy them. Luckily for middle class me, I prefer the design asthetic of the 1723's. Keep up the great work, your reviews are always fun to watch. I'm a fan. 👍 Also, do you think the folks over at Perlisten did a double take when they saw how much the 1528's copy their designs?

interesting design with the baffle not being mounted with the speaker itself. iam not sure how well this works since u absolutely dont want the baffle to start resonating whatsoever. I would suggest most energy is going inside the speaker and as long as in there enough bracing etc is done, it should be fine?! This actually triggers the diy in me, gonna do some simulations and if it looks promising, maybe i build something like that myself and test it against a normal speaker baffle. But cant see it being even 100% equal to a normal baffle, but it certainly is a diffrent look. as long as its impact is so minimal you cant hear it, does it matter?

The fact that you said you're not an audiophile and it's hard to describe what you're hearing is something that helps a lot, in order to relate and to understand what your experience was when listening to the speakers! Thank you!

Do you know if Dan Roemer from perlisten designed these like he did there other speakers?
@Youthman3 ай бұрын
I doubt it since Perlisten has been in business for several years. He would be designing for his competitor.

Good video buddy. USD11,900 on their website is definitely an expensive speaker which is made in China. We can get other speakers with others that are made in their home country.

Yeah, only 10 grand. SVS, here I come. I shouldn’t complain, cause my bicycles cost 10 grand, but that’s my true heart and hobby. Music is my 1st love and home cinema is 3rd.

While these look very nice, it makes me wonder why someone would choose them over perlistens r7t (same price) when the perlistens are rated to have more bass and has the dpc array (plays louder)?
@Youthman3 ай бұрын
Personal preference. I know some people that love the sound of Perlisten and I know others that do not like them at all. Also cosmetically there may be things that you like about one brand over another.

These look really nice! The pricing is a little steep. Over double the price of the 1728, but i'm sure they are worth the price.

Definitely steep price. Won't fit everyone's budget. But they did tell us these were going to be luxury speakers.

Just going off of build quality and weight alone, I don't understand how so many people are having a meltdown over the pricing. I have experienced hundreds of speakers nowhere near this build quality that are far more expensive. These weren't created nor meant to attract the " economical" crowd they are obviously trying to attract a different segment of this hobby, and if they actually sound like they should at their price points, then they should do very well in this segment. I was kinda surprised they were as "reasonable" priced as they were 😂

Hm, love the design, but SPL spec seems to be lower than the new and cheaper Monitor Audio Gold 6G series. Especially the Arendal Bookshelf 8 that's 111dB peak while the $1K cheaper Monitor Audio Gold 100 6G is 119dB. That's a big difference. 🧐
@Youthman3 ай бұрын
The tweeter alone can help dictate maximum output. Reference volume only has to have peaks up to 105dB. How much louder do you want it?
@lights800883 ай бұрын
I hope Arendal keeps the 1723 thx line. There's no way I would spend 5k to upgrade.
@Youthman3 ай бұрын
I don’t see them getting rid of them anytime soon. Maybe one day they will replace them a new or updated series.
@lights800883 ай бұрын
I agree. The 1723's are very good, I love mine. Just can't see going way up in price for a small improvement. First time buyer, maybe.
@talosian3 ай бұрын
Agreed. There can't possibly be that much room for improvement in the 1723's. Rather spend the money improving other aspects of my home theater, like acoustics.
@Youthman3 ай бұрын
You absolutely should spend money on acoustic treatment before you upgrade your speakers. That goes for anyone.
