Hey everyone, I hope you dig the vlog, there's a lot of serious topics I had to talk about. Talking seriously is sometimes required even though I hate doing it, specially when it comes to KZbin shenanigans. Anyway, on GOG if you pre-order Little Nightmares you get the game INSIDE for free until May 12. Grab this offer while it's up: www.gog.com/game/little_nightmares/?pp=26f0117f9c3b1e25d517f93927419493dfcad81c

For the QnA: What's your favourite funny moment/scenario in your games this year? about ad rev - this is an unfortunate thing for all us creators, I hope you are able to get your job placement! all the luck to you! perhaps you can stream the games that dont do well on the channel, meaning you dont have to put the extra effort into editing said videos and do them live instead? and you can get the ending out for those that are interested ? :) just a suggestion!

Some of the KZbinrs I watch who also use Twitch tend to use KZbin for the main parts of a game (for example, in Horizon Zero Dawn) and then use Twitch to stream themselves exploring and doing side quests. Maybe that could be something that works for you?

Without actually kidding, man, and in all honesty as another "adult" gamer all grown up in the real world (and who really enjoyed your playthrough of Rainworld) I really, really, really recommend Grant Cardones audiobook "The 10X Rule". He's got an excellent take on HOW to succeed in your dream business, and gives you loads of hands-on tools to use and his whole attitude is super survivalist. As he says himself, the tools can be applied to _anything_, you want to be successful at. I use it myself and it's really kick*ss, even especially in the face of adversity

Just wanted to say the video is amazing, thank you for explaining everything. Have you tried Shovel Knights? I'd watch a playthrough of that for sure! Your ideas are quite cool, I'd love to see the viewers indirectly decide what works and what doesn't. Good luck on finding a full time job, you can do it! Sidenote: That intro, especially the eye conversation, was beautiful. Looking good lad.

Hey Sparrow! Just wanted to thank you for what what you do. Thanks to your awesome hard work, dedication and perseverance you made me discover awesome games I din't even know the existence of. I personally wish you the most luck in the world finding a full time job that can financially sustain you but at the same time make you do what you love and do best: making videos on KZbin. Even if KZbin ad revenue is fucked up right now I am positive that with the awesome community you've built in these years will support you in any way possibile. Keep up the great work 😀 For the Q&A: What was you childhood dream?

Hey man! As one of your big supporters for the past couple of years, I've seen you go through your ups and downs and sometimes things like this happen and are out of your control. Keep it up! You have created a good community. Also, when are you streaming on Twitch again? I know your main focus is KZbin, but perhaps do a one stream per week? I really enjoy both...
@thesparrowssjourney7 жыл бұрын
I really do want to stream but I feel I need to focus on KZbin for now. That together with some irl stuff leaves me almost with no time to stream.

"I don't want to have a Patreon campaign," 15:24 "Patreon," 15:40 I like your videos, but I did laugh at that point in this video (I understand that you hope to be able to move past donations but I recommend that you do not stop Patreon. Even if you make enough revenue, ads are volatile and can disappear without warning, you should always let your viewers help you if they want to).

That was unintended lol but I think I made my point clear. Although I really don't want to need one, I do.

Hi there, I really enjoy your videos. And I really enjoy the videos that you enjoy too! Try not think in terms of business value of your videos. Finishing a walkthrough series is not as important, as finding a series that is exciting for both you and us the viewers like rain world. Maybe you should only make walkthroughs only for games that you are really excited about, and not one like "geneshift" that you were having difficulty enjoying it. Please keep it up. I really love what you do since I have been watching your videos for more than a year. Marios

Hey, thanks! It's not possible not to think of the business side of things. This is my only source of income atm so a wrong turn and I'm getting hurt a lot. I do understand that in this field, not worrying about business would be best.

They look like Beyerdynamic DT 880s with the black velour earpads. Did I guess right? Personally, I don't think any open-back Bayerdynamics are noise cancelling, but they're sooooo comfy to wear! Even without listening to anything. Anyways, I do know that the bigger channels rely less on KZbin and more on merchandise or other sources such as Twitch to bolster their income. If anything, KZbin can be a full time job based on what I've seen on other channels. You may need to decide if you want a full time job or to keep doing youtube as your primary source of income. Don't spread yourself too thin with too many games. Maybe you should focus on games that you really believe is interesting, and you may hit it big while other people who didn't know that such a game was a thing. Don't push yourself to compete against other youtubers because a game is popular (doesn't sound like you are doing this tho). Heck, it may be a good idea to not only rely on your viewers for what content they want to see. Maybe you know of something you think we would really enjoy more than ourselves. Honestly, I subscribed due to Rain World because no one else really did a series on it. Maybe focusing on being unique isn't a bad idea. Or see if you can do a multiplayer game of the sort with other youtubers to attract viewers from each other. Finally, maybe edit your videos a little more. Videos greater than 20-30 mins feel a bit daunting to watch, and nothing wrong with having a backlog of uploads to give yourself some buffer room (assuming the content is good). I like how you started cutting past the repeated parts of Rain World, preventing us from getting bored seeing how you retraced your steps to before you died. I don't really view myself as someone who understands completely how a youtube channel should be runned, so ignore parts of this post as you will (heck, it's like 5 am when I posted this). Good luck~!

Thanks for your feedback. BTW my headphones are in fact Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro but I changed the earbuds. Regarding the video length, I used to have a 20 min max for each video but I started noticing with 20 min videos I couldn't progress the series at the pace I wanted so 30-40 min showed the sweet spot for me so I keep playlists with 20 videos rather than 50. It's still something I'm working on but 30 min max sounds about right.
