You need to link your channel to your ads account - not the channels you are targeting

I've watched 3 of your videos twice! I keep getting "ad disapproval". It says "Restricted Verticals, credit and housing". Should I change keywords for my channel? I'm a real estate broker and I do business credit. But my video ad doesn't advertise any of these. It's a generic video. 😟

So Google does have certain services they don't allow to be advertised.... before trying again lookup that restriction to see what specifically they don't want. It might be something in the ad they don't like, and better to check than just trying different keywords. They ban for the smallest things at times. You can also request a manual review of the ad, but be sure it's in the clear....they aren't nice when it comes to this stuff. Hope that helps and humbled the videos have been so helpful!

@@JasonAWhaling Thanks for the reply. I've been working on this for a week. I called them and they gave me a sales script. Told me a specialist would help if I would pay $14.00 a day. I agreed and the specialist never called. I called days later and got voice mail. Yesterday I watched your videos then tried again. The video is about making Passive Income. I'm going to upload shorter MORE generic video today.

Hi Jason! last month I Was able to get leads for 1 USD targeting "video placements" while doing stream ads and got a sale on my 400USD course. Now is about 10x More expensive, how do I know if I need to invest more (and how much) so the algo learns to find the right person or if I already need to make some adjudgments. I saw your advice about getting first to 1000 impressions to evaluate but I just dont know where to start given that this new way of "intent" is sending impressions to very random places. Thanks!

That is an awesome CPA, but it makes sense that it's not a good now; costs are going up. The first thing to try is brining your budget back down. You may find that the CPA is good but the campaign can't scale, so keep your good numbers you have to keep the budget lower than you'd like. The next step is trying a new campaign using the user intent strategy. Compare how that new campaign performs against your old one. Third, try a campaign where you use target CPA. If you had conversion tracking setup, and you know this number that might be the next best place to test.

Would there be anymore benefit to researching your keywords for custom audiences using the Google ads keyword planner or just using private browsing and searching the KZbin search bar for keywords?

For keywords, I stick to using the KZbin search box. If your creating a 'custom intent' audience or generating leads then using the keyword planner would be helpful; but for channel growth the KZbin search suggestions is where it's at

I am a little confused as to what is best re my In-Feed ad campaign. I've watched several tutorials (including yours). Some say you should choose your best performing video, make a few changes so it's not classed as a re-uploaded video but upload it as unlisted. It's been said that the reason for this is that the KZbin Ad average watch time is terrible and as the average watch time is a huge determining factor for the organic performance of your video, it will kill the video if public and will therefore have a negative affect on your channel as the algorithm will not suggest or recommend your further videos. However some say that the above is old and outdated information and using a public video for your In-Feed ad campaign will not affect or hurt your channel in the algorithm as youtube tracks each traffic source individually. What's your thoughts? Also, I have another channel which I started in January the views for each video was between 50-100 views. Suddenly in February KZbin started recommending two of my video's, one now has over 2K views and the other has over 5K views and have gained almost a thousand hours watch time with only seven videos. I would like to do an In-Feed ad but am so afraid if it will hurt my channel. Would love to hear your thoughts/recommendation on this.

To answer your first question it does still matter. Even though KZbin states traffic sources are evaluated 'differently' what I see over and over again is videos promoted though ads with bad watch time are de-ranked. I'm talking about the individual video itself as there is no 'channel average watch time'. You can re-upload/modify unlisted and run them as in-feed ads and it won't hurt your channel. Don't run ads on those videos that did well though
