After growing my "collection" to half a dozen microphones, I implemented a simple rule: I have to be excited about a microphone continuously for at least a month before I allow myself to buy it.

I find the travel discussion interesting. The why, or what one wishes to get out of it, determines the how. When I saw you were going to B&H N.Y., I thought you would make a week of it. Run around with Tom Buck (and possibly other's). Grab a meal together. Collaborate on a video (or two), podcast, B&H tour, and maybe go to a couple tourist locations. No one should second-guess the, "why," one decides as they do. Just as it is with our tastes in fiction material. What we value, being such a personal thing, is often going to be misunderstood by others. And there is NOTHING wrong with that.

Instead of reamping to test microphones, I use a looper pedal. does basically the same thing, and it has the added advantage that it makes it super easy to test amps and amp settings, even in live situations without having to record anything.

Man, im in a project right now remixing an album from the early 00's. I wish there were DI tracks included, cause OMG, the guitar tones are rough. Thanks for the shout outs! And yeah... all my demo examples except acoustic guitar, bass and drums are all reamped. (including the piano!!) Though i was building a robotic drummer a bunch of years ago, got too complicated lol. The radial is great. I built my reamp box using a schematic from Jensen (transformer company). It's a fun project, passive and not a ton of parts. Mic collecting bad? NOW you tell me?! For the one DVD I was talking about, I think the only things that were "kept" were the bass and drums. The crowd interaction was kept in as well. That "Kiss Live" album was all studio... jus sayin' lol. NEVER prioritize food in England. HAHA terrible. Italy... different story. The food there IS an experience. A farmhouse in Tuscany where you can try the local wines and other tastes is quite a good time.

A month ago, when I was asked to take part in the KZbin Beta community note thing, I got a nasty taste in my mouth. The idea angered me. One more step down the big brother path. After rejecting the invite, I went to your discord to discuss. But I couldn't find a civil tone to speak in. Even after a month, I find it difficult. If one has something to add, disagree with, etc., leave a comment below. Don't go to platform mommy wannabes, to red flag your way to the top. If one thinks the information is wrong, make you own video (or tweet). We need to stop letting Karen's reign.

Thank you very much liberty. It’s no surprise to me because they already have had those information blocks beneath certain topics. It seems they just want that kind of box under more topics that they don’t have expertise in. Maybe it’s plausible deniability as well? User generated content is covered under section 230 so why not let users generate corrections that way KZbin isn’t liable?

@@fluphybunny930 actually they found out the users were abusing Twitters community notes system. Specifically the left leaning ones had created bots to do it.

@@fluphybunny930 also KZbin already does this on their own so why would they need a community notes model? Simple, so they can act like the community of users are flagging things, gives them plausible deniability. They'll say..."we're not censoring anyone, the users are managing misinformation on their own". It's the perfect cover for them to censor anyone they want and never take the blame for it.

You spend hundreds if not thousands for microphones and at the same time you're worried about $4 to $8 coffees what's 1 full time job and two income producing KZbin channels. This makes absolutely no sense.
