This is a good into to the KZbin API v3. Even for someone like me who doesn't do much web development, this was easy enough for me to pick apart and make it get further info to make a simple backup of my playlist data to a sqlite database (I used php5-sqlite for that) just in case any of the videos get deleted or become blocked, I won't have to scramble to figure out what the title was and I can go search and replace it. For those asking for the source code. There's not much to this. Get the minimal jQuery script from their website. Pause the video on each screen (index.html & script.js) and type them out real quick. It'll take a couple of minutes at most, even for those who are not touch typers.

Hi Brad! This a great Video and has been incredibly helpful. My question: Instead of loading the entire playlist, is there a way to break the playlist down by position number? I would like to place my playlist into a slider so I want to isolate the vids to individual entries and display only one vid at a time. Thoughts?

Most likely - jQuery has all the necessary methods for making XMLHttpRequests and data handling. Otherwise he would have to create the methods by himself. So, in terms of this example it is more time-effecient to use jQuery, also because jQuery usually can handle all the browser-specific special exceptions, if there are any. Unless you want to learn how web requests work, there is not much benefit for using pure js for this, especially since most of the web pages use jQuery anyway. In conclusion - it is possible to use just pure JS, but inventing the wheel from scratch may not be the most optimal approach.

+Jhonaly i solved it yesterday check very well for the required parameters if they are written properly and remember to enable the API also make sure you put "," after each parameter

If you'd open up your console, you'd see that you'd have GET chrome-extension://blablablablalbalbalbal/cast_sender.js net::ERR_FAILED on all the videos, so this solution isn't 100% a complete working example! But a very good tutorial and I learned a lot! Thank you!

Hey Traversy Media please can you create a tutorial where users on one's website can upload videos directly to you tube using Google Oauth without uploading those videos to the web server. Also remove the annoying authentication that comes up every time users want to upload videos.
