Huge thank you to Gary and Stu! They are the nicest guys, both were very friendly and informative on all the gear to use and where to fish whatever the species. We met new friends. Highly recommend Victory Cove seaside Cottages. The owner Chris is awesome. We had a fishing trip we will remember forever!!👍 can’t wait to go back

Hi Froese N Fish. I have a question for you. I know a few years back there was a landslide that blocked the road into the head of the work channel. I can't find any info on whether this has been fixed/cleared. Is the the road open? We have launched from Rupert a lot of years, but always wanted to launch from the head of the work channel. I've got a 25ft jet boat with a 14degree hull with a 502cu in inboard....so the dream/hope/plan is to dock at Victory cove and fish for halibut with both the added American license. Thoughts? A video on the concept would be great.

We were on the water the day of that slide... it is fixed, and road is open. You will have no problems launching.

We have fished the usa side a few times now... allows you more quota but took us a while to find some good spots.... im sure we will do it again in the later season... aug or sept when fishing is hot to ensure we can capitalize on the limits available. Study the regulations on fishing as a nonresident alien... fishing 2 countries have very specific rules when they intersect and you cross the border with a catch.
