Hey you two, i'm a german Spoken Word artist, living in germany, can't even speak english fluent, so my channel, which is a small one, isn't for the majority that gathers here. But I wanted to let you guys know, that i'm grinding on youtube for about one year at three channels, simultaneously. But I have lost my drive, figuring out how to be consistent, how to optimize while in the making. Your lines motivate me so much. Because: All that knowledge out there, from other teachers/mentors/gurus, is kinda important at different stages (or call it levels). But at the beginning those strategies or metrics, doesn't matter. The focus should be: Get your phone out of your pocket and start rercording! You have teached me this. Thank you So much - both of you! Please never stop talking about how to get it done. This because, I just started talking about my life (but in german lol) on this channel, besides my poetry. If it works: Awesome! If it doesn't: I'm having my life videologged. I wish my dad would have done this, when he was alive. Like: for my child, like "look, this is your grandfather: He posted every day about how he lived his live, get to know what kind of person he was and learn from him. - or try to understand why he was the person he was". And I think these type of videos can be a gift for the ones we leave behind, after we passed...

I just got monetized. My best advice is that you need 3 things to get the views and subs so you can monetize: 2 things that go together are: 1. Topic - It has to be a topic that you can talk all day about, it has to be a significant part of your life 2.- consistency- you have to choose your topic that you can consistently post about. before I go into #3, let me give an example of the combined 2 things: Owning a tesla, it's a lifestyle commitment, there are many things that you could post videos about, therefore you have the topic and the consistency. You could post about not being able to charge at home, or adding a charger at home, how your life has changed, the accessories that you've added, etc.There are so many tesla youtubers, and more coming on each day 3. Personality: you'll be able to get far if you can truly show your personality in your vidoes. You'll have to incorporate it into your videos somehow and sho who you really are This is the best advice I can give

I think this is an oversimplification that’s cleverly enticing people to watch because we all are aware of how some people have become surprisingly successful on KZbin and purport to be getting rich which isn’t always true .. to get paid you need to have the right kind of content because some topics are paid more based on how many sponsors think they can sell something to the people watching said content. Also, let’s be honest… it’s incredibly helpful when you’re what society considers to be above average as far as beauty/looks.. people prefer to watch people they think are attractive and aspire to be like or envy… Also, don’t make content that’s for kids if you want to get monetized and quite a few other important considerations. Length of content is important, good camera, good audio is said to be very important.. keeping the camera steady and in focus is important.. (which you might notice him telling you to hold your phone while recording himself using a stable mount or tripod) … your charisma is important .. how you speak is important. Lighting, backdrop.. having a clear and usually pre written script to keep you from rambling on and losing focus (and therefore people’s interest)… And on and on.. but touché my dude, smart video that’s likely to get views.. I see you hustlin… I’ll give ya a like it doesn’t cost me anything.

The length of a video is important for monetized videos, because an ad is played outa twice, or more. So if your niche you're in, that pays, let's say 5$ cpm, it's gonna be doubled when a second ad is going to be shown. Correct me if i'm wrong, but that's what I found out at analyzing. And I feel like it makes sense. This is the reason professional creators make their content as long as possible. Look at super simple songs. They make These compilations like "70 Minutes Subway Songs" or "30 minutes Bedtime Routine"...and it's just the videos they have already made, packaged to a new video with an much higher length. I think a key thing to keep in mind is that this will follow a trend that will ultimately be short term. In other words, it may generate money in the short term, but if it's all spent, or one gets the false hope it's "forever money" and quits their job, they may be setting themselves up for future failure when the trend no longer is popular. I did a short video suggesting saving and investing the money to make it more likely that anything you earn today stays put and earns forever. Most won't do it, of course. But it's something to consider.

I am simply saying, if you make any money in the short term, it's best to consider it short term and save as much of it as possible and spend the proceeds rather than the principal, and especially not to make quick decisions such as quitting your job if you have a few good months with high earnings thinking that's going to be forever.

@ yeah you can just make KZbin and horses two of your content pillars and explain that. Like my channel says family, career, and social media as my content pillars. So KZbin fits that.
