Hummus is made from garbanzo beans (also called Chick Peas) and Tahini - which is ground sesame seeds, lemon and garlic. But when it is premade they do add refined oils which are not that great for us. Both hummus and guacamole are delicious. Your wifey (so cute you call her that!) knows how to eat, man! Take a page out of her playbook. Not only are those delicious but they are far healthier than many things people do eat.

I eat thick cut bacon 🥓 but I gotta put mine in the oven it takes 30-35 mins. If it’s not as crisp as you like it leave it for another 5 min just keep your eye on it after 35 min mark.

Impossible Meat is good, so is Quorn, and Gardein. I think those are the best meat substitutes. I think Quorn is likely the healthiest substitute; but I don't want to tall you what it's made of, because Dontay would be grossed out. 🤣 The thing it's made of has a lot of health benefits. I didn't think I'd like it..... okay, transparency, mushrooms are involved and I hate mushrooms, but the Quorn products do not taste like mushrooms. Hanna doesn't want to eat beef. You could start with replacing the ground beef with meatless crumbles. All three of those brands I mentioned offer them. Just see if it works for you. 🤷🏻‍♀ I'm not pressuring anyone to go vegetarian; but since you brought it up, I guess I'm feeling a little excited. 😅 Ooo.... yeah the sausage. It's so spiced up, you'll likely not even notice that it's not really meat. Morning Star makes good meatless sausage.

It's not disgusting! I eat cucumbers and hummus, not with the dessert hummus; but I eat cucumbers with the savory hummus. Geeeeeez!!! Dontay does not have good taste in food! They're just so expensive I only get them when they're on sale buy one get one free. Yay! Dontay!!!! I don't crucify people for being omnivores. I was most of my life. But, I'm happy to hear you feeling some remorse for the origins of those slabs of meat you're seeing in the coolers. I love that you're considering going vegetarian. I went full vegetarian, with the exception of shellfish, in 2015; and now, I'm not eating shellfish either. The only thing I miss about being an omnivore, is the convenience of takeout and the lack of variety in restaurants for vegetarians. That's improving, but it's still not easy to find something I can pick up late at night, on my way home, after my UberEats shift. It's all meat and potatoes those fast food restaurants.

I'm upset with Kroger because they are carrying any of the vegetarian breakfast sandwiches and breakfast burritos anymore. In the past, they had some nutritious Sweet Earth breakfast burritos. Jimmy Dean had some really yummy vegetarian breakfast sandwiches, and Kroger had their own versions of the same. Some were on croissants, and some were on English muffins.

Someone gave me chocolate covered bacon, once, before I went vegetarian. It was disgusting! I took one bite and gave the rest to my friend. The same guy gave me my first taste of vegetarian bacon. I stuck with it and let everyone else have the chocolate covered bacon.
